Is this really a team? There doesn't seem to be any performance aspect to it.
This seems like she's trying to create a running content company without understanding the business aspect, (contracts ect). This is more of a run club type group.
From what the OP provided, I have to side with CQ. A runner leaves and wants their image removed from content from the time they were part of the team. I am not a lawyer but considering she received merchandise, a payment for the mile, and undoubtedly knew her image was being used in content, she was part of the team regardless of written contract. To ask for removal of content from a time when she was a member is unreasonable and CQ is right to respond the way she did which sought to be accommodating while not damaging the content of the brand (whatever one thinks of it). You all are free to hate on her for being her (hey, its LetsRun after all, right?), but she is in the right on this.
The most effort was put into the website. It’s an all-women team so let’s make the theme pink! And give people nausea with all the dated animation while we’re at it!
Who knows but the site lists her sponsor as Oiselle still when she’s now sponsored by Bandit.
Such a serious sport running is.
Btw, Madie is listed on the mobile version of the website (using Safari) but not the desktop version (Chrome), as far as I can tell. Weird.
I just went to see the website and look at the members page. Molly Sughroue is the first athlete listed and her hometown is written as “McCook, NB” which I looked up— McCook is in Nebraska which is abbreviated “NE”.
Receiver of the email probably needs to sue CQ to get her to cease and desist and to get her to stop using receiver's image. Some people won't do the right thing unless the legal system forces them to. Sounds like CQ might be one of those types.

I did read it and I side with CQ (which surprised me, as I don't like her and thought this whole 'team' was a joke).
But her 'threats' and asking for the stuff back or monetary equivalent is only if the athlete in question wants all their historic connections with the team deleted. Which CQ rightly points out is a very unusual and non standard request.
You don't delete your involvement with a sports team after you leave them. It's a matter of historical record.
Her email reads to me like it isn't even intended to be taken seriously. It's saying 'no, Im not going to delete the old posts, but if you really want me to then you have to give me all the money and the free stuff back' knowing full well that her request is as unreasonable as the athletes.
It sounds to me that the only reasons she's asking for the "gifts" or monetary equivalent back is in exchange for removal of the Instagram posts. I don't think Quigley is under any obligation to remove those posts. You understand that a contract requires an exchange of consideration, which in this case would be the return of the gifts for the removal of the posts.
Also, maybe I missed it, but where was the threat of legal action?
Lol there’s only one girl left on the meet the team page
Annie Rodenfels tagged the team in her IG post when she won the 5k on 11/2. So not on the Chrome website but appears to be woth the team still. Unless something happened since 11/2.

I haven't spent any significant time dealing with NIL (name, image, and likeness) rights since I wrote a Supreme Court brief on behalf of former college athletes against the NCAA in a pretty well-known case some years ago, but my recollection is that NIL rights exist independently of contractual rights as a matter of state statutory law, so I'm very dubious about just about everything that's been said in this thread about the respective rights and obligations of the parties in this case as a matter of the common law of contracts. That said, this whole dispute seems pretty penny ante, and I wonder about the motives of whoever chose to raise a fuss about this squabble on this site.

It was obviously Madie Boreman or someone related to her posting in her cause. While I had never heard of her before, I looked her up on Instagram and she is indeed fine, but not nearly as fine as Colleen Quigley. So I understand her anger. CQ is definitely the mean girl and will surround herself with baddies but only when they are a little less bad than she is. I think this is just a cat fight. I love that it hit the letsrun forum.
