1. Racing up the 4 mile hiking trail near my house at 9k elevation, in the dark.
2. Halo 3 1v1
3. Some kind of guitar speedpicking comp.
Im pretty confident that the dorks who can beat me at 2 and/or 3 aren't beating me up the mountain. And the people who can beat me up the mountain aren't dorky enough to beat me at both 2 and 3. If there is someone out there who thinks they can beat me at all three, hit me up and let's be best friends.
There was a time where I would have been a likely challenger, except my speed picking wasnt very refined so you likely would have dusted me there, but I was a fluent guitar player
I was an All-State wrestler in highschool and a ~4:10 miler in college. I always felt very confident that if needed I could outrun anyone I couldn't take in a fight, or fight anyone I couldn't outrun.
Then I went to college with a kid who was better than me at both (Well, better at both in HS. He chose Wrestling in college I chose Track. I don't think he would have beaten my college track times)
So... I need a 3rd criteria. Maybe ACT score? I think a 35 wipes out most people. Certainly most wrestlers :(
Cornell has a great wrestling program though, if one of them took up running I might be in trouble.

1. Trivia (think Jeopardy! or LearnedLeague or quiz bowl or something similar to that). Assuming we're playing on questions that are aimed at a primarily American audience, there will be very few people outside of the US who can beat me on those questions. And out of everyone in the US, I'm probably in the top 100-200 people.
2. Soccer refereeing. I'm not that high up on the totem pole, but it's a pretty niche skill. I can't remember the exact count, but I've probably done over 1000 games, including semifinals of HS state playoffs and an NPSL game. I could try to upgrade to regional, but it really wouldn't be worth it where I live unless I want to do a lot more traveling.
3. 4:57 mile. Not that great in the big scheme of things, but I'm in better distance-running shape than pretty much all the refs I work with (aside from perhaps a handful who are currently playing high school or college soccer). And this would probably knock out almost anyone who could beat me in trivia.
1. Half Marathon 1:10.42 PB. I figure this eliminates essentially 99.9% of the worlds population
2. Magic: The Gathering match.(played on the pro tour for awhile) Huge Nerd bonus points.
3. Bowling- multiple 300 games and have averaged in the 220's for a season.
Post it up. what do you got where no one else can beat you!?
I don't know. Give Nuguse a few years playing #2 and he maybe tops you. He spent his early years bowling prior to his PE teacher discovering that he could run really fast, and seems like he could probably master some nerd video game.
1) Running. 1:07:53 half/2:26 marathon (pre-super shoes). Nothing elite, but eliminates most of the general population.
2) Sea of Thieves. A relatively niche open world pirate video game (yes, it's about as nerdy as it sounds) where I have achievements that less than 1% of the playerbase have achieved. Most people play it casually so the "competitive scene" is a niche within a niche.
3) Hockey. I was a decent, by no means great player. But I can say from experience the crossover between running and hockey is very small, so the odds someone is better than me at both and also great at Sea of Thieves is astronomically low.
I'm also a running and hockey cross over! I do know a few decent hockey/sprinter crossovers, but not many distance. My hockey was maybe better (ACHA club player), but worse running (1:15ish half). I've never heard of Sea of Thieves...

My college teammate Paul Stemmer would have easily beaten you in both running and wrestling. When I get a moment I've got a hilarious wrestling story to tell.
This is great, I've been asking the same question to my track club recently (framed as "what's a triathlon, where you get to pick the events, where you'd be the best in the world?"). I'm playing this game as "things I can do right now" not my all-time PRs. I did pretty well on the SAT but today I'm an idiot so that's out.
Mine are:
1. Perfect pitch contest
2. some kind of running-bouldering combo (e.g. run a half marathon and climb 3 V5s in under 2 hours) - sounds like at least one person on this thread can crush me here but unless you've got perfect pitch, I'm safe
3. Lincoln Douglas style debate on some nerdy fanfic topic related to Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings where you have 15 minutes to prepare after hearing the question for the first time. Baby I'd be good to go

added bit about competing *today*
2) Ground Launch Cruise Missile (GLCM) weapon system
3) 38 Revolver
4) Hand Grenades
5) Marksman with the M-16
I ask AI how many people have done this.
AI response: Given that the qualifications span different time periods, involve duties in separate parts of the Air Force (or other branches), and contain conflicting qualification types, the number of veterans with this specific record is effectively zero.
Are you Gomer Pyle?
Golly geez. No he was my uncle. Seriously, I had 4 yrs in the Army (M-16, hand grenades). Then 18 in the Air Force (ICBM, GLCM, and the 38 revolver.) So one would have to be both enlisted and an officer. Then you'd have to be an ICBM launch control officer who then volunteer to cross train into the GLCM weapon system. The latter was only operational for a short period.

I accept your challenge
Except you're gonna win at #2. But I think we prolly live close, judging by the elevation...
there was a mexican guy i think that ran 212 marathon back in the day and fought for a boxing title, he probably has a third thing.
i have friends who are super hero types
one guy placed second in HS 100m NYC, missed his PGA professional coach by plus 3, won several semi pro events, was a pro rock singer, and became an artist, sold some pieces in the five to ten thousand range.
another guy was special forces, a medical doctor, 100m in 11 low, high end massage therapist and chiro, cage fighter, sold lsd at grateful dead concerts.
another fellow has a phd in religious studies, teaches meditation to monks, translates nuclear documents from french to english, is a ghost buster, pig farmer, and ex british special forces, drove a limo as a young man and catered mick jagger, bob marley, and a model that turned out to live next door to my place.
