I was wrong on the internet. I was under the impression the contract was with OAC, it must’ve have had an out clause or was re-negotiated. I assume Morgan does not currently have much bargaining power.
I think Morgan's still going to be with On through 2028, unless he's breaking his contract). He's just leaving OAC and Ritz training. Appears to still be living in Boulder.
This is mostly speculation from listening to Coffee Club and watching Morgan's most-recent videos...but it looks like him leaving OAC has more to do with wanting to control his own training on his own terms (like what Grant Fisher did), and not sending big hero workouts that could be a risk for a injury-prone runner. His YT announcement today talks about how he's had too many injuries, he's struggling to adapt to the training, and he needs more individualization.
I'm guessing he's going all-in on double threshold?
