Say he did run 2:42:15 (even though it might be troll)
What 1500m time would that predict? (Hypothetically)
Definitely close to 3:26, but it’s hard to quantify because we don’t really have a good estimate of his 800m fitness. Most of the time you can just add 800m and Mile times and it gives a good estimate for the 1200.
Doing it by that method suggests an 800m fitness of 1:43.07 to pair with a 1500 fitness of 3:26.00. Or 1:44.14 to go with 3:25.00.

I meant to say 1600, so you should instead use like 3:42.
2:42 coming off an Achilles injury. So he would risk tearing it in training? Pigs can fly on these boards.
He injured it 5 full months ago. Didn't require surgery. Returned to threshold sessions on the treadmill 12 weeks ago. Completed base training at altitude at the end of July. If he's ready to line up for the prelims on Sept.14, he's not at risk to tear anything by doing race pace work this week.
He has yet to race so he obviously hasn't been at full fitness. To run 2:42 would mean he was at full capacity and in 3:26 territory and this after an injury that has limited his training. Nope.

There is no rule that says runners with the same time over 1500 would run the same times as each other over 800 or 5000. Jakob is not an 800 runner. He wouldn't get near 1:43. 1:45-low might be possible if he focused on the event.

He wanted to race the DL final but wasn't allowed to. But of course, you wouldn't know because you don't follow the sport.

One race. He hasn't tried to race any others. But you also know that he needs no recovery time from an Achilles injury?

I don't think you are following. I am using his 800 and 1600 ish times to predict what he could run in the 1200m. So I added both 1:46.46 and around 3:42 for the 1600 and divided it by two to get 2:44 for 1200m. However, that is close to what he averaged in his 1500m PB so he has to be a little faster over 800m for it to be plasuible. Maybe 1:44-1:45.
OP is not lying, my friends went on vacation there after attending a wedding in Lisbon and texted me about it. They said he looked relaxed and crossed the line doing the double dab emote

Yes he "wanted to" but as has also been discussed by those who "follow the sport" it seemed like an odd request given if he really wanted to, all he would have needed to do is run Brussels a week prior. Which if he was fit enough to run Zurich, he was clearly fit enough to run 6 days earlier and it actually would have been good for him to have had a race prior to the DL final.
Why would he run two races in a week at a high level when he was just hoping to get in a rustbuster as late as possible when he was rehabbing an injury? Why would he even run Brussels with less recovery time from the injury when he thought he could still get into Zurich a week later?

Why would he think he could get into Zurich? He was definitely aware he didn’t have a qualifier. There was a big controversy about this exact issue last year.
2:42 would be the fastest 1200 ever run, by some margin. ElG's 2:44.75 during one of his 3:26s remains the fastest official 1200 split in history. So now he goes 2.6 faster than that.
Seriously. JIngy would beat Jimbo's legendary ~3.24 if he could go 2:42-low.
So, no.
But this particular troll is 6.5/10, a score second only to the legendary Tiberiusss in LR history. It avoids the usual dateless incel factor or trans-baiting and presents a claim that credulous runners fascinated by JIngy might possibly believe, boosted by his recent absence from racing and lack of benchmark at any distance this outdoor season. The spare and pseudo-authoritative presentation adds weight.
However, the big problem is that it's just a little too fast. A "2:43.95" might have ramped up the cred factor enough to boost the TROLLISM score above 8.
