Here is a coach who was "all in". Sure he broke some ridiculous administrative "rules", which were stupid and arbitrary to begin with. So what? He did not dope his athletes, disrespect the sport,nor did he encourage them to cheat. A hyper focused coach who loves the sport and motivated his athletes to excel. What's the problem? UCLA are a bunch of jokers for letting him go. Mr. Brosnan, if you are reading this, wish you the best.

I’ve got a 22 hour drive to do this coming Friday, and am going to purchase Brosnan’s new book on audio (releases tomorrow). Obviously a very controversial and polarizing figure here amongst the shining stars that are Letsrun, but undeniably nurtured along some outstanding athletes from two different families. Newbury was a juggernaut here in CA for a few years, and I’m looking forward to perhaps getting a little inside baseball.

I bought it out of curiosity. It arrived yesterday, I haven't had a chance to open it yet. Too busy coaching.
I only planned to read a chapter or two since I’m busy myself, but now I’m already on Chapter twelve. Honestly, I’m surprised, this is way better than I expected. It’s really well written, and teaming up Brosnan with Lear and Grief was a smart move to get the story told right. I plan on finishing it tonight.

I went into this without any bias, even though there are a lot of Sean Brosnan fan boys and some haters out there. Honestly, it’s very good.
About 100 threads on this already. Yes we know they had a lot of talent and he helped guide it. Still might be an interesting read. No coach ever has done anything without some form of talent on the team.

I went to a running store here in Seattle that had the book, but when I asked, they said they were sold out. They only had 5 copies to begin with, but I ended up ordering it on Amazon instead. I should have it Friday.
