The Center position has changed a ton, yes. They aren’t just huge bruisers. They can shoot and are much more mobile and are expected to defend multiple positions.
Modern centers are harder to play against, even if they’re less physically imposing.
Malone, Olajuwon, Robinson, Ewing, and other 90s bigs were lethal shooters from the mid-range. Shaq bullied people. Holmgren and Wemby would have a very difficult time guarding Shaq in the post. He'd have them in foul trouble pretty quickly.
Neither Embiid nor Jokic are particularly mobile defenders, but they were the top two MVP candidates three years in a row. They can both shoot the 3, but that's not a big part of their game. If Embiid and Jokic can dominate in today's era, you better believe the best centers from the 90s could, too.
Strongly disagree. A 12 footer is so different from a 24 footer. You need mobility and the ability to stretch the floor at least a bit today.
Shaq is like the greatest physical specimen of all time so I agree anyone from any era would struggle with him, fair.
Throughout much of Lebron's career, he hasn't even been the best basketball player on his own team. In Cleveland,. Kyrie was better than him, in Miami D Wade was better than him, and Luka is better than him now in LA. The moment Kobe stepped on the floor as an 18 year old, he was the best player on the Lakers all the way until his last game.
You’d be the absolute laughing stock amongst knowledgeable people talking sports.

Jordan dominated from his first practice as a rookie. He was immediately the best player on his team, and truly best in the league, though he wasn't mvp the first year. Only Lawrence Taylor can compare as a player who dominated his competition from the moment he started and then proceeded to get better.

It's beyond obvious Bronny James shouldn't be in the NBA, but if we could shrink Lebron down to 6'1" like his son, Bronny would beat him 1v1. A 6'1" Kobe or a 6'1" MJ would obviously be not as good as their full heighted selves, but they would still be in the league based on skill. A 6' 1" Lebron would have trouble making a good D1 team. Facts.

Each post you make is hilariously stupid. Please go on!

Ugh, you’ve completely jumped the shark. LeBron was always the best player on his team from age 18 until (arguably) the last few seasons with AD/Luka. In those Finals vs. the Warriors from 2015-2018 he was always the best individual player on the court.
Even more ridiculous is your claim about Kobe. Kobe averaged 7.6 ppg his rookie season (which is fine, since he was a kid) and while he’d developed into an All-Star by the time of the 3-peat, Shaq was far and away the most important player on that team. Between those three Finals series, Shaq averaged like 36 and 15 (and won Finals MVP each time). After his Achilles injury at age 34, Kobe was quite frankly ass: in his last 107 games, he shot 36.6% on FGs and 28.5% from 3.

Better than Shaq? Come on, bro, now I know you are just trolling.

Don't get the hate for LeBron. Dude is a stand up guy and role model. Great with fans, no gambling problems, no rape charges, etc.. He is an overall good guy and amazing player. He has literally lived up to the hype that was brought on to him at 16 years old.
Yeah, so he left Cleveland to get a ring. How dare him! Then came back and got them their championship.
No one ever saw Jordan, Magic, or Bird give up in any game. Ever. But LeBron, pampered wuss that he is, has given up, more than once when the going got tough. He is not a true champion. He’s an egomaniacal punk.
“Why do old guys …” thread started by a sapling who thinks, “those old guys are such losers. Watch me spend a portion of my youth seeing if I can get a rise out of them!”
LeBron is great... great skills, great court sense, great scorer, and an inspiration to many. He even had a school built for kids in his part of Ohio.
Michael Jordan inspired kids to try inventive basketball moves. brought spark back to basketball, made a shoe brand even more popular (like prefontaine, right?), won six titles, made a city that he was not from prouder than ever, and revolutionized the entire brand of what the NBA was when he played.
LeBron is outstanding but Jordan was a team player and a dream player. Numbers are numbers but finesse is finesse and nuance is nuance.
