Great race and trip for Hoey. He’s firmly now in the second group now behind the big 3. Attaoui, Tual, him, Masalela, Hoppel (who stunk today).

Bad start for hoppel which lead to a bad race.
Or more likely he wasn't on the new US drug , the one he took at the OG last year. He has been nowhere near that time before of after...

Loaded men's 800 coming up. Hocker and Hoey for the US
Hoppel
Great 800m race but not so much for Hoppel.
Hoey almost PBd with a second
That makes the top three suspicious

Wanyonyi and Sedjati just scream dopers lmao XD cant trust anyone from countries with very questionable testing
We don’t know the Sedjati testing situation frustratingly. It’s some privacy issue because they have like 3 athletes. But Kenya’s testing isn’t questionable to me, it is top 3 in the world by AIU stats consistently. And there are plenty of busts.

Great race by Hoey. 1.5 second outdoor PR. He can clearly hang with the world's best - the real question is if he can do it when it counts.
Unless he gets injured, yes I'd say so. Hoppel on the way out, Hoey will be the new US #1.
Hoey got perfect pacing all through but was also bold enough to run his chance.
Speaking of OG dopers, Hocker races next!
What happened to Hoppel here? Don't have a way to watch live - just reading this thread and looking at times

Bad start at the line, made a big move to get up in the first 200 but probably ran the next two turns in lane 2? Just didn’t really have it, it seemed. Assuming he’ll run in Paris and do much better.
5000m next - Hocker & Beadlescomb
First 1:41 of 2025!
And in mid-June! Wanyonyi's breaking the world record this year. He looked strong.
He also ran 1:41 high around this time last year.
Two straight Diamond League wins under 50 seconds for Whittaker. Liking her consistency!

Probably slow af with a kick. It's handed on a plate to Hocker (as long as he took his special medicine)
Duplantis attempting the WR 6.28m

The hope is light green as we say in my country of origin!
Why do they downplay these record attempts? A friend of mine helps coach Almgren - hell he may be the coach. He flew in as they are going for the record.
7:42 pacing for 3k is perfect as that's the exact same pacing we got in Oslo. It's 12:50 pace.
