He wasn't screaming about her family, if you looked at the video you would clearly hear exactly what he said and the only reference to anything about her family was him saying that Melissa Jefferson is married to a black guy so he likes her better because Gabby is married to a white guy. Saying her husband is white is a fact, not an insult. It's stupid, racist and childish, but still his right to believe that and say it and no where does it come near to being "unhinged screaming about someone's family." There is nothing worse than people that make up these talking points and ignore the actual facts that are presented to them. Go watch the video to see what he said and form an opinion based on that or STFU.
From when kids are young they are taught to taunt the batter into swinging at bad pitches by saying "hey batter batter batter... swing." At basketball games they sell all manner of distracting objects to wave behind the backboard to distract a player from his shot. She is a professional athlete and loves her new found Olympic medal fame; you can't be the type of person that loves and feeds off the good attention and wants to live in a bubble and hide from the bad. Gabby saying that he followed her around is a lie.
I wouldn't do what he did, but respect his right to do it. Ms super model Sports Illustrated swim suit, Met Gala, I love the attention seeking Gabby needs to learn that not everyone will like her and want to drink her bath water, innocent trash talking from the stands comes with the territory and from her reaction at the time, she didn't seem rattled or fearful, she only made up the story later for more attention and thousands of "you're a queen, you go girl, and Gabby is the best" comments. Here's my emoji for her❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
You sound like the incel POS who was heckling Gabby.

Get a life.
Nothing like a Gabby thread to bring out the haters and the incels.
She apparently cares so much she lied about it. She's the one that ran to Twitter to make up a story about him following her, to gain sympathy.
His own video literally shows him screaming at her by the starting line, then later way down the home stretch.
This was an event with assigned seats.
If some freak was screaming about my wife's race at not only one but both ends of the track. several minutes later, I would objectively and literally call that following.
FanDuel has banned this bettor from using its platform.
"FanDuel condemns in the strongest terms abusive behavior directed towards athletes," a FanDuel spokesperson said in a statement to ESPN. "Threatening or harassing athletes is unacceptable and has no place in sports. This customer is no longer able to wager with FanDuel."
This is currently one of the top headlines on ESPN's website:
Fan Duel and other betting sites have a brand to protect and this type of issue has come up in the last few weeks with a couple of MLB players reporting threats to themselves and family.
100 pennies a day is a weird dude. His entire Twitter account as well as YouTube account are just straight up rage baiting slop. He’s also made videos and tweets about which athletes he wants to get pregnant, so do with that what you will. If I recall correctly, his first name is Mario.
They just don't want to see a black man speak his mind on track and field. If any of these white ladies like Kara goucher were in charge he would be lynched. Disgusting behavior to treat passionate fans like this.

They want to protect an obvious doper so they can point at her and say “Ivy League” and isn’t she wonderful and other woke baloney.

What are the timestamps on this? I thought it showed him heckling her at the start and then when she came back by the start after the race. I thought that's what I saw.
He may not have followed her around but still was a jerk. The question is how much of a jerk can you be. Fanduel already banned him.
where you can clearly see a guy openly heckling Gabby before the start of the race. You just don't see that at track meets.
In my opinion this definitely crosses the line. Sure at basketball or baseball someone might yell at an athlete (on the opposing team) that they are a choke artist but this isn't those sports. Track is more like golf or tennis.
And then this jerk, takes it to another level with him discussing who she married etc. It's all so out of the norm for a track meet.
Via X I found the guy's youtube page where he openly says he was just heckling Gabby, did nothing wrong, and this is what you see at other sporting events where you cheer for the people you like and heckle the others. He says he didn't even do it for the betting reasons (despite his X post) as Gabby was 10/1 to win the 100 and not a factor. He said he's just not a fan of hers. He also says he did not follow Gabby around at the meet as the Guardian headline said.
is his take on the incident
So where do you draw the line in track? Heckling isn't part of the sport.
I always defend the rights of the fans to be fans but this is too much. Track is an individual sport like tennis and golf and in track there is silence and an amount of decorum expected at times. During an NBA game not as much but I feel like a fan just got kicked out of an NBA game.
Ha, I was wondering when this would show up on Letsrun. 100k is a piece of sh*t. He is well known and widely hated on track twitter, probably the most blocked account on there, next to ActualRandom, RaesTakes, and Erin Brown.
I think heckling should be allowed in track, but everything has its limits and 100k went too far. I've heard some people say that other professional sports have heckling, which is true but if you sit courtside on an NBA game and talk sh*t about a players family to their face they are gonna check you. Talking too much smack is a concept in other sports leagues too.
I disagree. What this heckler did was perfectly acceptable. We need to protect free speech. He was hilarious. If we want to grow the sport we need to involve the fans rather than constraining them to a ticket paying plebeian class with no rights. Why can’t he say those things to those people? Who gets to decide what words are acceptable and which aren’t and at which time? Words are sounds coming out of peoples’ mouths. They have never physically harmed anyone. We need a free speech revolution.

You’re absolutely right. He did nothing wrong and was freaking hilarious. All this is about is literally control. If they allowed more fans like this, the sport would be way more popular and make more money. Instead the athletes are a bunch of cowards who can’t stand to have their feelings hurt.

Then it’s a shame Fanduel banned a ticket paying fan for the innocent act of saying things they disagree with and don’t like. Words are sounds coming from peoples’ mouths and have never physically harmed anyone. This kind of needless censorship has ruined society and eroded all freedom of speech and expression.
