Nia Akins got paid 10k to run 2:13 and a dnf in the 1500m. That’s pretty wild if you think about
Plus $2000 to grace the start line. Not sure this is the look they would be very happy about.
Also Mary Moraa - she's 24 years old so this isn't a "well she's getting to the end of her career" situation. I mean all of a sudden to ability to muscle through poor pace execution and frankenstein form in the final 120m seems to have just evaporated....
Quality commentary: "Sydney Mclaughlin-Levrone. Just saying the name brings up images of... Sydney Mclaughlin-Levrone....'.
Solid.
I think Sydney is an incredibly athlete and definitely a legend in the 400 hurdles. But... is she really as well-known as the commentators keep suggesting? I mean, outside of Track fans... how many people have any idea who she is?
Just sounds like artificial hype... Anyway, good for her to play around with different events.

Outside of track fans, no one has heard of any track athlete.
Talking to a friend about the league injuries are a major issues with Track.
Football, basketball, baseball, etc all the stars can still play while injured since it is a more skill based. Where running if you are hurt, you can't really perform and the risk is not worth it unless it is the trials or championships.
Not sure who would take the race out fast with no Fisher or Gebrihwet. Maybe Blanks? I would expect him to maybe make a hard move from a K out if its slower

Actually I could see Blanks and Ky going back and forth for a hot pace, with Nico stalking in 3rd until the final 150. That's probably the only scenario where someone like Coscoran doesn't win.

This is now a very weak field. No medal contenders unfortunately
Is Hagos waiting for the WR attempt in Oslo? Maybe Grant is too (or protesting the drop in prize money…)
