I thought they (Usatf nyc) locally organize and put on the event- boots on the ground production.
They wouldn't procure the funding.
They wouldn't reap the financial rewards either.
That would be the upper echelon of the org, where everything is bleeding out from.
I'm confused. USATF hires an Indian as Cheif of Media. She moves USATF media to India, Pakistan as most of NFL, NBA, NCAA teams are doing. THEN Max fires her.

No, I'm confused.
What do Indians in India have to do with an alleged USATF event in NY looking like it's being managed and produced by USATF in NY?
Coaches need Berlin Mara shot, Golden Gate Bridge,,Eiffel Tower finish, Santa Monica Pier Sign, to make money
The only way to pay expenses is for coaches to sell product placement ads for $500,000 with clear logos on the kit at Brandenberg Gate, London Bridge, Cathedral of Notre Dame, Rome Colisseum, etc.
Many try to blame Nike and Max but I think we have a cheap public that spends $Trlilions on Hollywood Pro Leauges like the NFL, PGA, MLB, etc. but only spend a few $million on T&F. You always hear little figures like $30M for GST and massive figures like the Yankees $1Billion payroll for 2025.
Blame a cheap public that spends trillions?
No, blame track and field for being a boring sport that no one wants to watch. It gets s the audience and dollars it deserves.
"Our domestic calendar is strategically designed with depth and flexibility, ensuring that elite athletes have consistent, high-quality, competitive platforms throughout the season. USATF remains committed to supporting elite athletes by actively securing viable alternatives and will continue working with our partners to maximize opportunities across the US track and field landscape."
The language isn't the problem. It is perfectly coherent. The problem is that it is utter b.s. with no relationship to reality whatsoever.
It's a problem for the sport that a meet in NYC has never really worked. Feel like people in track always want to take meets to big cities who don't care about T&F & want to structure meets on tv for casual fans. At some point, maybe we should just put meets where we know they'll do well & cover them for fans. Create a really good product for people who care.

South Manhattan and West Los Angeles are locked out to Indie TV. We need Trump to breakup the illegal TV cartel.

What does that mean, never worked? The meet sold out the past two years.
it wasn't just the blocks, it was the chopped up surface at the 100/110 starting area.
i would be concerned with USATF solvency and/or ability to gather sponsors for events as that's several imploded races/meets. the 3 "grand prix" people mentioned plus i think a youth meet and the worlds road race that was going to be in san diego.
