Looks like becoming Olympic Champion has inflated Tebogo's ego. Perhaps Kung Fu Kenny can teach him some humility this year.
He's always been brash on the track. I think once the big boys are running in the DL at 200, he'll take it more seriously as you're saying. Lyles and Bednarek can run 19.6-7 in their sleep, so he better be prepared to match that.
LOL, I'm not on GST's payroll. GST would be a lot better if I was!
I just don't like what I perceive to be excessive, unfair, and caustic criticism of GST. I also don't like GST's harshest critics pretending that the DL is perfect. Let's be fair and acknowledge that both leagues do a lot of things well (albeit differently) and they both have room for improvement.
Yeah, that was frustrating. It's understandable for a startup league to not get everything right, but I expect an established entity like the Diamond League to have its live results page in working order.
especially when they haven't had issues in years prior!
Another upset and win from a young Kenyan in the distance event. Cherotich outkicks Yavi as the Kenyan crowd loves it, following Reynold Cheruiyot and Nelly Chepchirchir
Reekie's form is just light years better than it was...props to however they fixed that.
Would love to see her medal this year after 4th in Tokyo Olympics and 5th at 2023 worlds. 1:55 PB so the engine is there, just really needs to get it right on the day
Shes got to get her tactics right. She hasn’t run all that smart in finals and it has cost her.
This meet so far has been infinitely more entertaining than grand slam track. Faster times, better crowd, field events, and great finishes. Grand Flop Track cannot compete.
During a celebration for their Olympic gold medalist, Botswana fans trolled Noah Lyles as one was dressed as the American while being pushed in a wheelchair.
