The guys a POS. Hopefully nobody sponsors him after his contract is up
All these brilliant detectives people who were defending Austin Metcalf on the knife situation without all the details. 3 pages in the thread and no one is asking why was hisex and her bf at a meet hotel??
Shouldn't we wait for all the details before casting judgement talking about this is embarrassing etc.
Alaysha Johnson is one of the short hurdle challengers this weekend. That's why they were at the same hotel.
I've long argued sports leagues / colleges, etc. do not have the expertise to be judges and juries. They need to let the criminal court system handle it.
GST let Kerley compete in the Kingston meet after he'd been arrested. How is this any different? The only difference is he'd compete 2 days after the arrest (men's short sprints doesn't start until Saturday) versus 3 months after being arrested, but that might make it even harder to suspend him as there isn't time to get to the facts.
GST has no obligation to let him compete, but without knowing any specifics, I don't have a real problem if they do. They are a sports league, not the morality police.
Update: He's been suspended which is the right gall. I failed to consider two things. 1) This happened at the meet hotel and 2) ITt's a second arrest in months so the odds of both being unwarranted and 'giving him the benefit of the doubt' go down from simple math.
Of course GST should let him compete, this second arrest complies with their contrived doubling up. Fred is a natural fit.
Somebody should update his Wikipedia with his height and weight and link his booking info as their reference. It's so rare that ht/wt on Wiki can be 100% accurate.
I feel like Fred was a chill dude and kept his life under wraps (the wife, kids) until his car got stolen. Then it all unraveled. Roid rage finally affecting him?
Another loser making personal attacks on fred behind an anonymous username.

As an Angry Brit, I'm struggling to follow the pseudonyms used in this thread.
Would I be correct in assuming Alaysha Johnson goes by the moniker "Hisex", while Fred's current partner goes by "Sky High Baby"?

Lol I thought the same thing when I saw his height.
HUGE mistake for GST to suspend Fred. This situation and the others make him the most must-see track star in the world. Never know what you’re going to get with Fred. He could false start while wearing the shoes of a company that’s not his sponsor, he could walk off the track in protest, he could win the race, he could run like crap, or he could punch out one of his opponents. That dude is box office.
Basically the gist is that Alaysha shouted stuff and went to punch Fred. When Fred pushed her off him Alaysha's bf started to fight Fred.
So basically the whole thing was instigated by Alaysha and Fred stood his ground instead of running away from his angry ex. Obviously he should have just ran away but he would have immediately lost the respect of his current girlfriend. So overall it was a tough lose-lose situation.
Either you flee the situation and lose your current gf or you don't flee but risk a fight.
Listen, I am going to say this for the kids who may not know better otherwise. If you are in a relationship with a woman who is going to leave you for removing yourself from a violent situation, you should probably reconsider whether that woman is good girlfriend or wife material. This is especially true if involving yourself in that fight will result in you losing your income. Jails are full of men who felt the need to get violent in lieu of removing themselves from a situation and acting like an adult. Fred should have walked away and gone to his room to prepare for the meet. If his girlfriend didn't like that, he should have told her to find another room at the hotel. Instead, he is in jail.

If she really hit him first this is your analysis? Is she not to blame?

He's literally still in jail and awaiting his bond hearing so it's not like he would've been there anyway.
