I have young daughters and they have no concept what being woke is, it's not going to sway my decision whether I take them to see the movie or not. Were middle aged men really ever going to go see it ? because thats weird.

I would suspect a huge loss in market share has more to do with competition from youtube mainly, video games, DVD sales being non existent, smart phones. All my kids want to do is watch YouTube and play computer games, which I limit obviously. In my opinion Disney has always been woke and has been feminist/ diverse as long as I can remember. Do I think every lead should be a black woman now? He'll no... but I think people are getting a little too excited about wokeness. It's pretty easy to bounce back from too.

Dylan Mulvaney was used in an Ad campaign because he was an influencer with hundreds of thousands of followers. Nike's target audience is the kind of youth who follow social media influencers.

I am often surprised at how much right wingers don't understand marketing or economics in general.

Nike is far from woke. They donate far more to republican candidates. As an example, it the 2018 election cycle, they donated 4 times as much to republicans as they did to Democrats.

And again their donations just like their campaign ads are geared towards increasing their stock. If they think a republican will vote for tax breaks for Nike, they donate to republicans. If they think Mulvaney will help them sell shoes, they use him in an ad campaign. It has nothing to do with woke. The breitbart crowd is grossly ignorant.
