What are you trying to say? Runners who are fast as kids don't age well? Coe may not have been as fast as Ovett but I bet he was still quicker than 99.99% of the population.

I worded my message carefully to say that Ovett was an early developer and Coe was not.

Meaning that Ovett matured early, and Coe reached physical maturity at a later age.

not necessariy, I developed late, but I still got bald and fat early.

I have always wondered that as well. Malmo, Hodgie, Jtupper, etc, any thought on how Don Paige would have fared vs. Coe and Ovett? Rodgers and Sandoval in marathon?

You can not tarnish the man's medal because Jimmy Carter had a brain cramp.

There will always be races in which people don't show, people get sick or injured, countries boycott, someone didn't make it throught the trials, someone fell, take your pick, that does not tarnish the medal.

Shame his wife seemed very nice.. why do they do it?? Then wonders why he struggles to see his kids.. I think he is a brilliant athlete. does seem ashame though.
