I have to say, I’m with Newname and DanM on this, but I don’t think they’re making good arguments here.

- lying about the origin of COVID (gain of function research)
- lying about the transmissibility and seriousness of COVID
- fearmongering the public into locking down and engaging in months of quarantine, social distancing, and mask on wearing which were not only ineffective but completely wreaked havoc on the country’s economy and mental health
- lying about the effectiveness and safety of the vaccines
- shaming people into getting these unsafe vaccines as a public epidemiologist and abusing that good faith

There was never an expectation (except, apparently, among the uneducated) that they would suddenly know everything there is to know about something previously unknown.

The President has pardon power. If the problem is having the power, lobby your congress rep to change it.
It seems that some people only agree with that pardon power when it is their guy and think it is abuse of power when it is the other guy. Those people have no coherent beliefs or principles.
It's getting about time for the Supreme Court to tell a president that if you pardon someone, you have to at least say what for. A Ford can pardon a Nixon for the Watergate stuff they were gonna impeach him about. But none of this "whatever you may have done is pardoned."
SCOTUS can and should throw out Hunter's "everything since 2014" pardon on that basis.

How naive.
Still thinking these people are looking out for us
Since pardons are legal as a power granted to the President by the Constitution, this does not constitute placing someone "above the law." Every President does this, almost always on the basis of political alignment or patronage and not the merits of any case.
just because it is legal does not mean it doesn't constitute above the law... getting pardoned is literally being above the law... the law found you guilty but because you know the president you are no longer guilty... literally above the law.

What is very interesting is why the U.S. Army hired the Wuhan lab to send them bat Covid samples. The Fort Detrick installation was the center for bioweapons development for decades. When that works was "stopped" the site rebranded itself as center for bioweapons defense development. Really?

The presidential action forgave two Pennsylvania men sentenced to hang for treason, simultaneously quelling a nascent uprising and proving the power of the chief executive.
I cannot find anything that says he pardoned people not yet indicted.
