It only benefits them age wise, that's the POINT! We're not saying living in Ecuador for 2 years is an unfair advantage, being a 25–27-year-old Junior/Senior when you come home is a clear advantage over an 18–19-year-old. Also, what's the deal with not being able to run and or exercise while on your mission? Is this forbidden and or sinful? I understand the no drinking/caffeine, but exercise? The whole point of religion is to be happy, healthy, and a good person
For fairness sake, what you should be comparing is a 22-24 year old senior/redshirt senior vs a 24-26 year old senior or redshirt senior who served a 2 year mission.
Also should take into account the non- development of those who went on a mission.

Although the missionaries are blessed for doing so I believe.
BYU Football went on to eke out a win in last night’s Holy War match-up against Utah, but a controversial penalty called against the Utes with less than two minutes left had
none too pleased: “This game was absolutely stolen from us. We were excited about being in the Big 12, but tonight I am not. We won this game. Someone else stole it from us. I’m very disappointed. I will talk to the commissioner. This is not fair to our team. I am disgusted by the professionalism of the officiating crew tonight (November 9, 2024).” Utah Football HC Kyle Whittingham: “Things out there were ridiculous. That’s how I’ll leave it.”
A potential call in question could be when Utah cornerback Zemaiah Vaughn was called for a holding penalty on a fourth-down at the Cougars' 1-yard line with 1:29 remaining. The penalty wiped out a sack of BYU quarterback Jake Retzlaff that would have won the game for the Utes. Following the first down on the penalty, BYU advanced the ball down the field, and kicker Will Ferrin hit a 44-yard field goal to clinch the rivalry win. With the win, the Cougars are now 9-0 and 6-0 in Big 12 play, keeping alive a chance at the 12-team College Football Playoff.
