As an expert on these type of situations I can acknowledge that the way people respond is why men stay away and don't get involved because they can't win. The main difference is the makeup. They should use a more natural palette on her. I've seen this same mistake in pictures of Kara Goucher. Both women are naturally beautiful, and using the wrong color or too much color detracts from their beauty.

That is a common expression the high-end models practice especially when they are on the runway. It is the "I'm a badass don't mess with me I'm better than you" look. Very common in the industry. For some reason New Balance marketing believes that look will sell better than the smiling "girl next door" look. Nothing more to it than that, no need to read anything into it.

What is being interpreted as miserable could just be her trying out a more serious look. She has gotten plenty of jabs on this site for her giggly fish lips poses. Maybe she was trying to seem more mature. Just another possibility.
If she is unhappy, that would be probably normal right now. This move was great career-wise, but this is a huge transition for her. Cross country season is ramping up in the NCAA and both she and Tuohy have expressed a sadness for not being out there. It is normal to miss that and to need to process the loss. She is also in a new city that is quite different, and she is away from the friends that she has been close with for the past 4-5 years. Everything is new. That is a HUGE adjustment, and there are bound to be some downs to so much changing at once. Odds are she adjusts and embraces the new chapter in her life, but she just moved there. It takes time. The post college transition into just being a professional and no longer a student is hard for a lot of people. Not a sign of disaster or discontent with NB necessarily.
Agree, whoever started thread is a supreme loser. Most likely they rarely leave their parents basement and are Vitamin D deficient from spending endless hours indoors glued to a computer screen which has caused their brains to atrophy from lack of proper development and exposure to real human beings.
