1. Inflation - 1-A. This happened worldwide. This was not just a US problem, and our inflation was much lower than much of world.
#1-B. We know DT's spending and tax cuts were a massive addition to the national debt. this is not a debate. $8trillion added to the national deficit in his term, much of it before covid.
#1-C. Do we believe that if he were re-elected in 2020 that we wouldn't have seen inflation in 2021-22 as much? The re-opening of the world economy, shipping shortages, reduced oil production that couldn't meet demand, ect., would still all be there. He signed a 2-year deal with OPEC in April 2020 that they wouldn't increase oil production....even has the world opened back up. So the world was short on oil, prices had to shoot up. Not his fault? Look at 2018-2019 when he begged the saudi's to increase production, dropping the price of oil that U.S. oil companies saw a 50% increase in bankruptcies and we lost 1 million barrels of refining capacity.
***We are at record oil production levels right now*** Natural gas is at historic lows right now! What is donnie going to do, tell U.S. producers to spend more money to drill more, and make less money? WHAT??? Energy bill will be up this winter not because of our energy production, but local energy companies raising rates. That's a local gov issue at this point with states allowing those rate increases (or not dropping them) to happen.
ANWR has a political ploy for 40+ years. Repubs open it up, dems shut it down. It's never going to get drilled. Companies didn't even bid on it. If it was so important...why did Don not open up leases for ANWR until Jan. 11, 2020 during his 1st term??? Even with years of begging Saudi's to produce more oil, we wouldn't sign it until he was leaving office. If you don't read anything else, read this 1st section again, he's playing you on all energy related stuff.
#1-D. Increased housing costs. Look at his tariffs on lumber. WE PAID for those costs, China sure didn't. You can't tell me that energy policy and tariffs didn't contribute to housing costs? We can't look at the last 4 years in a vacuum. Much of this already would have happened. Heck, didn't DT say in 2020 that if biden was elected the stock market would crash and we enter a depression. guess he was wrong about that.
Part of the problem is everyone got used to cheap money. that allowed speculators to purchase more properties, raising prices rapidly. We aren't owed 3% loans. the scary economic fact was if anytime in 2009-2019 we had entered a massive recession, the Fed would have had 0 ammo to stimulate the economy with rates already at zero (yes, they could do QE, but that's a timebomb waiting to happen already). Is the economy slowing now...yes. But that's the dirty side part the FED doesn't say when they raise interest rates. Unemployment right now is 4.1%, the FED considers full employment at 5%. To drop inflation, you need to slow spending/reduce jobs....then prices will stop going up.
3. Ukraine war- Should we give Ukraine back 3000 nuclear weapons? When they agreed to give up their nuclear arsenal we told them we'd back them if needed. So should the U.S. bail on them now? Plus, for the money we're spending, we allow Ukraine soliders do the work to fight off russia, not using a single US soldier, while decimating the russian economy and military....is that not a good policy? Just let russia take over? Then we have to send U.S. troops and spend more money down the line when he invades a NATO ally. Besides, much of that $$ is actually older military equipment and weapons. So we're giving them old stuff and can modernize our military stockpiles. Seems like a good deal overall. You think T can broker a deal? Putin has him played. The guy has a mental breakdown when the media is "mean" to him, or gets out debated by Kamala, yet he's going to strongman Putin? HAHAHAHAHAHA
4. I still don't understand the "censorship" and "free speech" arguments that are always made. These are not state-run companies, these are corporate entities. If you believe google or facebook censor you searches/posts, don't use it. Do you think Truth Social is open to liberal speech?? Doesn't matter, it's a private company. And plenty of people have gotten banned on there for speaking their mind that goes against the Don.
5. Lockdowns? You realized much of that happened in 2020 while he was still president, right? The new admin enacted some mandates for return that may not look like they were needed now. But guess what, we were in an unprecedented situation. You have to act instead of telling the country "it'll be gone in two weeks" and not do a thing and let things drag on.
6. "Jabs" As much you hate it, it allowed the country to open back up and get back to business. You had a choice. All work requires you to do a lot of things to be employed, some that may be bad for your health too. All thats over now anyways...get over it.
7. Russia-gate. I haven't gone deep in the foxhole on this, but lets not paint this picture that DT is some saint. He profited a ton from his businesses while president. Ivanka and Jared made $670million as "consultants" during his admin. And Jared got $2billion from the Saudi's months after the end of their admin. Oh, and Jared was part of that 2020 OPEC deal to cut production for 2 years. Then he gets $2billion "investments" a year later. How nice of them. I won't argue for or against...but lets agree that both side probably are getting huge benefits from their power. If you think it only goes one way, you're a lost cause.
8. Lawfare against T. I think he got the Lance Armstrong treatment. If Lance had stay retired, they would have let it go. But he came back, so everyone was like, lets expose him. Are they out for him? Maybe, but he's now saint and it's not the first laws he's broken.
9. Criminalize dissent. You're really trying to ignore the J-6? That day was an embarrassment to our country. Should every election allow that to happen if you don't get your way. If Kamala loses are you going to be fine if dems storm the capital? Don't whitewash this incident because how bad it makes him look.
10. Glad donnies ear healed from that "bullet" in just a week. His regeneration skills are unmatched. Unlock conspiracy theory now....
TLDR: If you don't read anything else, read my sections on energy policy, and how ANWR is a joke. If you can't come to believe actual facts on our energy production and policies that are as public as day, you're only going to believe what the great pumpkin tells you.
