Elite 1500m runners are truly tiny, that is something you do notice.
I sat next to Sifan Hassan at Pre Classic this year. Couldn’t believe how small she was…much smaller than she looks on tv.
Remember doing a $$$ paying 10k when I was in my mid-50s.
For the presentation, they had out the first six overall, the first three 40+ and the first 50+ (which was me).
I'm about 5' 9" and 148 lb, which is relatively skinny by regular standards, and I looked like a middle-weight boxer compared to everyone else, particularly the first six (all African).
Sorry I skimmed over the less enlightened responses. She was wearing normal street clothes but with a Nike t shirt. The store sells all sorts of sportswear/clothing/equipment so she or her love ones might want to wear something or use something other than Nike gear. The city I live in is a Rugby League town - so a very accomplished runner isn't even a blip on the radar. Before the Olympics there were huge banners of Jakob and Mu and no customer or staff member had ever heard of them either.
Yea but the kids who run know who she is. I have 2 13 year old girls that have run 60 seconds for 400 and 2:16 and 2:18 for 8 and they want to be the next Jess Hull at 2032! She has raised the bar for Aussie middle distance female running.
Rebel Sports? Yep I concur mate, most of your customers or colleagues wouldn't have a clue who she, Ingy, Mu or Hodgkinson are.But when it comes to league or AFL players, they would most probabky freak out wanting selfies if Cam Munster or Josh Addo Carr walked into your store.Lol
What happened to all the posts? She's highly suspect and that comes with the territory.
Because this is a thread about a fan's interaction with her at a store. It's not a thread about whether she's doping or not. We like one thread per topic and also don't want individual threads going off topic. So every thread on Hull or Houlihan or Kiprop isn't necessarily about doping.
Appreciate you Rojo, but you picked a weird time/place to crack down on derailing threads. I thought you were the easy going bro anyway? Have I been wrong all this time?

Any Sydneysiders or AFL fans have thoughts about yesterdays Grand final, another disappointing grand final performance from the sydney swans despite being the best team all year.
Brisbane have been really good the last 2 months or so and really outplayed the swans.
My experience is that professional athletes radiate attractiveness IRL. It's almost like a bit of archetypal elements of athleticism and good health. You don't notice it as much on a screen because you often see them next to other world class athletes—but put them next to normal people and it pops.
Plus, they usually appear more cut than on a screen, and they are often very tan. Choose your favorite attractiveness scale and give them a +1 or +2 to where you would put them normally.
Really? Usually the distance runners look so low body fat that it's kinda shocking. And the habits to get to that level of performance kind of radiate, like some neuroticism etc.

But it's perfectly OK for every thread about Valby or Wiley to immediately go off topic.

LR is like most media and not “questioning” Hull’s literally bizarre progression.

Exactly. Because there is this set in stone arithmetic progression that can never be broken. The same thing works in golf. If a golfer's lowest score is 70, then he suddenly goes really low, say 66, then it's proof he's cheating. Many golfers have been banned and shunned because of this law of progression.

The mods approve of this post because they delete a response that says there is no "set in stone" progression that purportedly shows doping but there are progressions that defy reasonable belief. Katir was an example. Anyone in that territory is justifiably suspect.
