This should put any question regarding her alleged guilt in this matter to rest. Making mistakes is only human, it is good that he admits his mistake and takes responsibility so they can continue their focus on her sports endeavors. Which by the way should not be allowed to be besmudged by this unfortunate, but in reality inconsequential matter.

At this point, before declaring their actions as inconsequential, I think it's helpful to remind everyone of Viktoria Brown's post from 6 weeks ago. People need to be aware that this is their true nature.
The post: "Imagine someone attempting to invalidate your Canadian national record - who is not Canadian and has no stake in the record! Without even being present at the race! Of course, after careful investigation, the ACU dismissed the false accusations and my record stands. Imagine this same person whining and complaining to a major running magazine editor to take down articles (unsuccessfully) praising your accomplishments!
Imagine this woman relentlessly lobbying to invalidate other women’s world records! Imagine her audacity to try to discredit world-class performances like Harvey Lewis’ backyard ultra world record of 108 hours, 450 miles!
Ironically, some of my friends had said to me, “You are lucky that you are in Canada, so she can’t hurt you.” However, that clearly hasn’t stopped this meddling person from trying!
Ultrarunning is a niche sport, with timed races representing the niche of the niche. Shouldn’t we be lifting each other up rather than trying to drag each other down? Sadly, the athlete presents herself as an advocate for women while actively engaging in harmful behavior against her female competitors. How does that align with advocating for women?
If she cannot accept that she is not the only exceptional athlete in the sport of ultrarunning and that others with far less support and resources can still match and even exceed her results, then it’s time to take a deep look inside. It’s important to address the fundamental insecurities behind this destructive attitude and to stop lifting oneself up by pushing others down. If she did this, she wouldn’t need to wonder why some brands and organizations are reluctant to be associated with her and opportunities are denied to her. I wonder how long certain brands will want to be associated with this moral.
We need to address and eradicate bullying that damages our sport and our community. Women should unite and speak out against behavior that not only harms our reputations but also affects our mental health. By working together, we can create a safer and more positive environment for everyone in our sport."

They indeed should START focusing on her sports endeavors, and STOP trying to be the arbiter of what others should think of the respective achievements of every other ultra runner. My understanding is that is precisely what everyone involved except them want them to do.
Why the hell does she need her socials controlled by her husband. Is she Beyoncé or Taylor Swift. The ego is so inflated it’s beyond comprehension. Her husband doesn’t control her socials. She is obsessed with social media and obsessed with her image to such an unhealthy degree. She must have hundreds and hundreds of us blocked by her at this point.
Some advice for the Herrons on how to move past so it doesn't ruin her athletic career.
The both need to release a statement. Conor and additional statement to what he did yesterday and than Camille to release a statement. Once these statements are released they should wait 24 hours then resume her social media. After their statements they should not answer any questions or address the issue ever again.
Conor's statement should apologize directly to the runner's who's pages he edited and to the professional editors he publicly accused of bullying in his first statement. He should also acknowledge that he is not a official and should not spend his time lobbying against other athletes performances regardless if he feels their was a rule infraction, and acknowledge these federations/organizations have processes in place already to review these things.
Camille's statement should apologize for not stopping Conor's wiki activities and for being overly obsessed with other's adherence to what she believes to be fair and right. She needs to apologize for allowing this obsession to cause her to treat some competitors with less dignity and support as she would want to be afforded. And state that going forward she and Conor will dedicate themselves bring positivity and support to all their interactions and to help build-up beloved sport for all.
No accusations about anyone's past activity at all mentioned in either statement or justify their actions..
She should then compete with gusto and go out of her way to be positive and support and encourage others. She can and should be proud of her accomplishments and compliment and support the efforts of others. They should adopt a philosophy that anyones' advancements in time or distance are a benefit to all as they push outward and challenge the human limits. All her social media should be kept positive and reflect this sentiment.
Nothing heals and warms the human heart like being kind to others. And it can be contagious.
Can you imagine standing on the start line below the Acropolis on Saturday and everybody next to you knows you "edited" the most accomplished ultrarunner on the planet' wikipedia page?

Hate to break it you, but I think her reputation has indeed been besmudged by all this.
I had forgotten the details of Camille Herron's false accusations against Ashley Paulson at the 2022 Badwater event.
Many people, including Derek Murphy, became suspicious of Ashley's record breaking run because of Camille Herron's very critical social media posts - I wonder if Conor made those as well?
Indeed, the basis for Marathon Investigation/Derek Murphy writing two articles that gave the story legs was that Camille sent Derek a misleading table that omitted certain performances in an attempt to indicate that Paulson had cheated (Derek noted the other performances in his article, but it is unclear if he found them himself or whether Camille acknowledged she was creating a misleading table). Does anyone know if Camille and Conor ever apologized to Ashley Paulson?
I am not aware of the other events that Tishul Churns describes in the Canadian Running article.
Note: Ashley’s result has been thoroughly analyzed and no evidence was found to support cheating allegations. To support Marathon Investigation, you can make a contribution by clicking on the bottom of the page, or by going t...
"This couple has a history of trying to disrupt athletes, their reputations, races, and performances by citing World Athletics rules that do not apply to ultrarunning and multi-day running."
What a sad situation.
I acknowledge that I was one of the people that was mistakenly suspicious of Ashley largely due to Camille's criticism.
I had no idea people give a rats ass about ultra running in this site, who knew & why? Seriously has this site now become a high school message board & Ultra running site. Let's run...
Both of these are more interesting than watching a bunch of anonymous East Africans running laps around a track.
I get the strong impression neither of them is very bright. Not understanding traceable IP addresses, plagiarism, the ridiculous replies to Andy's questions (the imgur link above) and generally assuming the public will accept Conor's explanation, which has numerous holes in it. I don't believe she can ever come back from this, she is a pariah in ultrarunning now.
If you read through the comments on Viktoria Brown's posts you'll notice Derek Murphy chimes in. He does not refer to Conor at all and mentions that he doesn't trust Camille anymore after that whole thing. Conor doesn't seem to get brought up a lot in the anecdotes I've read about interactions with them.
It seems plainly obvious that he is just taking the fall for this with his non-apology which is typical of narcissists. People speculating whats going to happen at Spartathalon but I think nothing is going to happen except business as usual for them. If anything they view all of this as an attack on them and are not embarrassed but are probably seething with anger.

Even if his "admissions" are true, and I do not think they are, he simply gaslights the ultra running community and doesn't actually own up to making any mistakes. The guy justifies his "mistakes" by claiming he was defending his wife from "bullying." It would also be "inconsequential" if this solely related to Wikipedia content, but apparently this pattern of behavior extends well beyond Wikipedia.
The only thing I see in this response is a lack of accountability, excuses, and playing the victim rather than taking accountability for their actions. Either they don't think what they did was wrong, which is yet another problem. Or they are incapable of owning up to their mistakes.
