They were also championship records. Ingebrigtsen has none.
Jakob had the 1500m Olympic record. Not that you would know that, of course. Now you will say in your little squeaky voice "But I am correct! Hocker broke it! He has none!" Yeah. Same goes for Clarke.
You really can't follow a point, can you? The championship records I said Clarke had were world records over those distances. Ingebrigtsen has none in the championship distances.

You said Jakob has none [champioship records]. You were wrong.
Clarke was only 18 in '56. He didn't compete for years after because he got a career and raised a family. It was an amateur era. He didn't get back into the sport until the early '60's. His best chance was the '68 Olympics but he had no chance when they were held in Mexico. But no one carved up as many wrs as he did in a very short span of time. They were also championship records. Ingebrigtsen has none.
Clarke was 19, but no chance for you to calculate this since your calculater doesn't have a button for date. He was way older than Ingebrigtsen when he finished 4th and 5th at the 2019 World champs. Best chance in 68? He badly failed at the 62, 66 and 70 Commonwealth games. As well as the 64 Olympics. Short span of time? Clarke set WRs from 1963 to 1968. Regarding championships, Clarke has a terrible bad record, Ingebrigtsen's is way way better with four global golds up to age 23.
Again the stupid age comparisons for a runner who didn't start competing at the age of 10 as Ingebrigtsen did. You are also comparing an amateur with a professional and one who competes in a doped era. The fact remains Clarke broke more world records than Ingebrigtsen has and over the championship distances, which Ingebrigtsen never has. This is not to argue that Clarke was "greater" but simply to make the point of how incomplete Ingebrigtsen's resume is.

Can you not read a full paragraph? I was referring to world records, not championship victories. It is a sign of an inferior intellect that you can only cherry pick and not read context.
It really depends on how you define easy pace. If you use some sort of physiological measure (Heart rate, lactate, etc...) it would 100% be the world record holder in the marathon at their peak. Let's say 1 day before the marathon they set their world record at sea level on the shake out jog.
Many runners use psychology to define their easy pace. They are almost always deceinving themselves. What feels easy isn't easy in most cases, even for pros! No way a 30 min 10k truly easy for any runner ever, especially if they are in heavy training. It might feel easy to them, but it's harder on the body than a true easy recovery pace is.
So those athletes would be Tigst Assefa and Kelvin Kiptum.
I bet Kiptum on the day before his WR was running sub 5:45 min miles and would have been able to sing an opera at that pace. I bet his heart rate was barely elevated.
No other male distance runner has more than two global outdoor golds at age 23.
No one gives a sh"t what age an athlete is when they are competing in open competition. Does Kipchoge get a prize for winning and setting records at "37"?

It is a sign of an inferior intellect that:
1. You post 50-100 times a day about Jakob.
2. You can't go a day without insulting other people.
I checked this thread 3 days later and now it's been derailed again by Armstronglivs rambling... this looks like it's gonna turn into the "Jakob wants to be the GOAT" thread where he'll still be arguing with people a month later lol. Impressive as the thread had nothing to do with Jakob in the first place

- didn't start competing at the age of 10 - age is irrelevant
- armdump
- competing in a "doped era" is more easy? I thought any one of his competitors is doping yet he destroyes the times they can achieve in all events from 1500m up to 2 Miles and has the most global golds (with Cheptegei) of the last five years
- Ingebrigtsen's championship record is very good (as many global golds at age 23 as Coe, Cram and Ovett combined have during their full careers), not perfect, as he also has lost several races which he "should" have won, but very good
- Clarke's championship record is probably the worst in the history of athleticcs in regard to the historical rank of the athlete
