You think collegiate sprinters waste their time HERE?!?!?!
I'd suspect that the ones that do can't run 10.47.
I’m a former sprinter. What’s so special about track and field athletes anyways? These people aren’t Ronaldo or Lebron. Yeah I’m sure a lot of unpaid college athletes visit this site and professional ones still glance at it and have visited In the past.
I don't understand the question. You already admitted you didn't even run 10.47. You essentially further prove my claim.

Yes , runners go on this website. This sport is quite small and this site pops up on many searches. Even sprinters. Just to clarify I was a 400/800 runner. You also misunderstimate the amount of worthless things somebody reads when they have time. If it’s not letsrun it’s Reddit or some other obscure forum for wasting time.

There's a difference between happening upon a hit from a Google search, and making it a regular haunt of any kind. Most sprinters, especially ones running faster than mid 10.4s, wouldn't stick around beyond that Google search.
That's true for reddit, as well. Maybe even more so. The way that everyone here contextualizes a 10.47 (or even a 10.37) is evident enough that there isn't a lot of fertile ground for sprinters here. It's a stretch to call yourself a former "sprinter", to boot. A guy who's doing 400/800 dounles is FAR closer to middle distance than sprints. Unless you were only dabbling in the 800.
You seem to continue prove my ultimate point of emphasis over and over.
Everyone keeps saying how amazing this event was for the sport. But is it that good if we have to start having gimmick events like this? Eventually, each time it's going to have to be wackier and wackier and the actual heart of the sport will be diminished.
This is the hard question that we really need to address, As a purist, I couldn't care less whether the best Pole Vaulter is faster in a 100m race than the best* Intermediate Hurdler, but people do seem to enjoy watching and betting on match races. Similarly, home run contests and three point shooting contests don't seem to have diminished the actual heart of baseball and basketball.
* no disrespect intended to Mr. Benjamin, using the term loosely instead of "world record holder"
But those sports are not struggling to grow like track & field is
