Jakob Ingebrigtsen completes 4 hour police interrogation regarding allegations against Gjert

Jakob does not live with his father and mother. He moved out a few years ago.
The brothers have stated that they lived with this and handled it, but when their younger siblings, who still lived at home, became the victims they had to do something.

I’m quite surprised / impressed that Jakob has been able to run as well as he has with this going on in his personal life. Seems very stressful and non-running stress certainly makes training harder

i won't say Khamis is 100% wrong. we live in a complicated world, and yet most people turn every question and narrative into something that is binary.

BUT, what's going on with the brothers and Gjert right now has an appearance of being more about what happened with their sister than with themselves. As has been pointed out by so many others.

So Khamis, there is your one other variable. It is Ingrid.

In this case the police / the District Attorney has stressed that the time factor is crucial, and that when the alleged abuse / violent episodes are old there’s a huge probability for them being dismissed because of “the standing of evidence” and time…

Jakob is substantially younger than his three brothers that have made a case against Gjert. The alleged violence against Jakob is therefore newer and more prone to lead to a charge in court. But the police have to get the details right here -therefore this third interview with Jakob…

I don’t take a stand in this case prior to the court rulings.

But some of you posters are saying that we don’t know anything concrete or detailed about the allegations. -This is not true: Norwegian newspapers have a lot of information about what 6 of 7 Ingebrigtsen siblings have said in the police interviews (the 7th is still a minor), and neither Gjert’s defence attorneys or the siblings’ have publicly denied these “leaks”. And there are also written police reports the press have read; f.ex the one where Filip despite the dismissal of his case explicitly in writing are judged truth worthy when he tells that he as a child was beaten in the head by his father, and thrown into his room.

Here are some of the interview allegations cited in the press:

Unnamed young sibling: Beaten in the head + beaten in the face with a wet towel. Beaten in the body. Threatened.” Depriving of freedom” -taken into a car under threats. Psychologically abuse. The abuse is described in a period from 2018-2022. These points are published in a formal police charge.

Kristoffer: No details (I have seen), but since 4 of the siblings made a formal case against Gjert, he must be one of them.

Martin: He claims that he’s not been abused.

Henrik: Claims threats and psychological abuse + consistently being gripped by his ( behind) neck.

Filip: Beaten in the head. Thrown into his room.

Jakob: Beaten on multiple occasions in the head, also as a little kid. -Because of a conflict he had been in at school, because he as a little boy forgot a race, because he fell off a kick scooter… + threats from Gjert (even when he raced and won U20 Nationals as 15 years old) and name calling.

Some of the siblings have also mentioned witnessing stranglehold of a sibling. -Unnamed for now…

You need a clearly understanding (of black and white morality) savant to adjudicate and arbitrate on non black and white cases like Jakob's spanking case here!!!!!!!!

Well I already knew there was one charge for 'violence' for hitting Ingrid with an object but if I were the judge I would ask also need to know what object was thrown at Ingrid if Ingrid absolutely necessarily needed to be thrown an object by Gjert in the spur of the moment, you feeling me sir?????

A soft baby toy would obviously differ from a sharp bladed object like a knife!!!!!!! So if Ingrid was hit with a not so injurious object in terms of weight, shape, texture, and hardness and if it wasn't pre-meditated like for instance the object pre-prepared the night before it was thrown at Ingrid then I would say Gjert has done VERY LITTLE WRONG even in Norwegian law alright?????

Culture is going to be a major variable in how acceptable or not a behavior from a parent to a child is. In Norway, and most other western countries, this is going in the box for inappropriate. It's hard to say without being there how bad it was. A very light measured smack to the back of the head can be very little. beaten in the body? that is vague. I don't know. At the very least, this is all worthy of an statement saying "im sorry. I was wrong."

You can take several small incidents over a 10 year period, put them on a paper with a kind of language that makes someone appear to be the most demonic father ever. I don't think Gjert is on that level. It's hard to believe he was such a monster who they feared on that kind of level, when you watch the show and see the boys all breaking his balls and pushing his buttons purposely to piss him off.

Look let this be known to all LRC folks, I'm a non-violent person alright??????? Why would I be??? I'm staring at a beautiful mountain right in front of me and feeling so at peace and tranquil with mother nature, no worries, no stress and definitely no schizophrenia or psychiatric illness as some ill-conceived LRC folks on here thinks of me!!!!!!!!!!

Of course not all 'beatings' are as innocuously filled with Dad's true love and care for their children but my experience and foresight tells me that you can assume that the majority of 'beatings' are borne of love and care and completely harmless, not child abuse or violence, nothing like this!!!!!!!!!!!! The accusations I read above by the brothers are very standard fatherly acts such as 'threats', 'name-calling', 'psychological threats', 'pinching and pulling the ear' (which my Daddy did for me in love), 'head beatings. These are what I would call the equivalent of Alberto Salazar's 'locker room boys talk' about the female gender, you feeling me sir??????

It's a very private and intimate event between 2 actors well known to one another such as father and son or if in the locker room between close knit team-mates!!!!!! As long as it stays in the locker room, which it should, and not be twittered, X-ed or facebook-ed, nobody would know what X-rated things were said or done, similarly, the events between Gjert and Jakob should have been kept secret only to close family and loved ones and never should have been published by Jakob and the brothers just as locker-room talk stays in the locker room!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I saw the video series and it seems it was Jakob and the brothers provoking Gjert instead!!!!!!!! Gjert is that old bloke unable to keep up with his young sons who are running circles over the top of his head and giving him such a nightmare LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are so right sir!!!!!!!!!! I remember when I was 15 I gave my Dad a hard time because I wanted to do a lot of activities but he just couldn't keep up and I was the one taunting him and 'name calling' him. On occasion I also dared to be rude and threw psychology threats at him as my hormones were raging real fiercely at 15!!!!!!!! And then my Dad would roar with a loud voice and showed me who was the head of the family and put me in my place!!!!!!! He could have smacked me in the head too and he very nearly did at 15 and it would be to ensure I don't climb on top of his head and take advantage of his kindness.

Can I suggest a therapy service - possibly that one heavily advocated by a number of youtube channels (BetterH***)? Your posts here don't contribute to discussion - rather they detract from and discourage actual discussion.
