It’s not as if she wasn’t punished. She missed two Olympics, lost her job, is regularly hated on, continues to be hated on, will be hated on upon her return.
"yes she xxx, yes she xxx".. You stated the same as Blunt1 just in other words.
You are not very bright. It was his tone of contempt which I was quibbling with. Many of you have committed worse transgressions than Shelby, likely including you.
You are reading a tone in his reply to this thread?? LOL.
Wait what? I have committed worse transgression than Shelby? A convicted doper? What did I do?
(Don't read a tone in this, but you will probably think that I have been unnecessary harsh on your beloved doper, but she is in FACT a convicted doper).

Yes. This is what bothers me the most. People are horribly vicious on this board and in the US in General. She likely had hundreds of PED tests and passed them all from what I know. She is not a Sammy or McGwuire or Alzado chronic criminal. So this positive (mathematically) means a one time digression or a false positive I think. It is a fact that this is the range of possibilities.
In January, she will have paid her debt to society or completed a sentence as an innocent person wrongly accused.

That is not a fact of all. More likely, she has been a hard-core user all the time, but with attention to the amount and the glowing time. Most dopers go on for years until they simultaneously slip up + the tester comes + they forget hiding.
Points in case are her suspicious progression, USADA + AIU targeting her since years, and all the denials instead of an admission (like "sorry I slipped once, won't happen again").
"false positive", lol, that's not really in the range of possibilities.

You really are not very bright. You cannot grasp that there are tones in text? And furthermore, of course you have likely done worse than Shelby. You are a self righteous twit.

Just that if people want to talk sh!t about her, they can do it on letsrun, not her insta. Fair.
except deleting negative comments is weak. you can’t create your own world. you can pretend to, but the real world still exist. reading comments on her insta - only positive - is fake and cringe.
More facts: those positive tests got excused with a backdated TUE. Lance has failed no official tests since the creation of WADA and USADA. And when the experts looked at his ABP, they couldn't agree whether or not it's caused by blood doping... although it was.
USADA also failed to bust Shelburrito, what with their warning calls. Fortunately, the AIU came to the rescue!
The brojos did everything in their power to carry water for Shelby with their ridiculous articles questioning her guilt when it was as clear as day she cheated. If Shelby just admitted it she could be running in Paris right now. No one believes you Shelby.
There are thousands and thousands of people who believe Shelby didn't cheat. Many, if not most of the, legends of the sport believe her.
Anyone who knows her personally knows that would be completely out of character for her.
With Salazar, no one questioned that he would dope his own athletes, because he didn't live by any rules when he was an athlete.
People in the elite end of the sport have better context than LetsRun message board posters.

I'm curious that the positive test came just 4 days after a test that she cleared. If we accept the correctness of the results of both tests it strongly suggests that anti doping targeted her and had specific intel to go for the v swift follow up of these two sequenced tests

I don't doubt that the UCI were non-compliant with the Code, but the fact remains that Lance failed many tests -- at least 10 tests in 1999 alone. I hope you will join me next time someone tries to perpetuate these false myths.
I'm not so sure that USADA committed any failures with respect to Houlihan. They cannot bust an athlete without any evidentiary basis.

I am often told that it is the athletes who know best, and certainly better than anonymous Letsrun message board posters. Have any athletes (teammates and/or competitors) stepped up and spoken out condemning Houlihan for this anti-doping rule violation? Seems like most of the vitriol is coming from message board posters, who don't seem to be able to appreciate that these violations do not require athlete intent, fault, negligence, or knowledge, and that the burden is always placed on the athlete to determine and establish the likely source, regardless of whether they know it or not.
While many may not question whether Salazar would dope his own athletes, the bigger question is whether he ever did dope any of his athletes.
I can't wait for Shelby to make a comeback and watch all the tears flow. She's going to dominate the 5k and 10k at championships for another couple of years then dominate the roads. Shell earn her name back, which was wrongly taken away from her too.
Interesting to see and hear a confirmed drug cheat speak .So obvious that this is a dishonest person, this interview just shows how arrogant she still is .
I find it odd that you have such contempt for Shelby. Yes she appears to have lied and then stuck with the lie. And yes she appears to have been someone who tried to get an edge with a banned substance. But she is still a person who probably did it because she felt unworthy and she probably was greedy too. She is likely not a worse human being than most of us. IF I were in her shoes, maybe I would have considered doing the same. And many of you would have too. But her sticking with the lie is because she feels she will be ostracized, not realizing that lying probably makes the ostracism worse. She deserves a 2nd chance at life, even if not at world class running, as that ship has likely sailed. But she can be national class for sure. She is flawed, and we are too.
Most people I know are not as bad as her. I guess I will go rob some old people and lie and say they gave me the money. Then I can be just as good as her. Were you her attorney?
