Sydney doesn't need the ego stroke of running indoors. If she did she'd surely have the record. Find one outdoor event where Femke has a faster time than Sydney.
Sydney has light years the worst fans in track and field. Paranoid when there is no reason to be paranoid.
It's the reason Femke is a beloved combination of Mary Poppins and Cinderella while Sydney is some runner who only shows up when her master creaks open the door.
Hoping that somehow US and NED are close on final leg of women's 4 x 400 and Sydney and Femke get batons together. Unlikely but...
The Dutch don't have a fourth. Bol and Klaver are known quantities. The third best Cathelijn Peeters is a late bloomer who has been steadily dropping time and now runs low 50 relay splits. But the other leg is Lisanne de Witte, who was once ranked #5 in the world but now is in her early 30s and a 52 type at flat 400. She might be capable of 51 low on a relay split. Anything beyond that is pushing it.
There is a young girl named Madelief Van Leur who has broken all of Bol's junior records. She is only 17. Right now she would be the favorite to be part of the 2028 relay but obviously that's a long way away.
The Dutch relay order this year will likely be Peeters/Klaver/Lisanne/Bol. The only possible change would be Klaver at lead followed by Peeters. That's the indoor order, for clean water. Outdoors Klaver is better going second.
It showed in the heats that Little nearly screwed up and lined up right at the end of the zone before the handoff but rectum-fied it in time. Didn't the US do the same thing at Worlds last year?
Since the 2022 Outdoor Euros Bol has been on quite a tear, winning 12 out of 14 finals over indoor and outdoor Euros, World and Olympic finals. The 2 non-wins were a bronze @ 2024 Outdoor Euros in the mixed and the DNF at 2023 Outdoor Worlds in the mixed.
Both need to start running the 400 at championships as well as the hurdles. Without Paulina running well it'll be gold and silver every time. I would give Bol an edge as she seems to be able to handle a lot of racing volume. For these 2 titans, race organizers should accommodate a schedule that makes both doable. Great for the sport. Def want to see Bol in a 600.
We celebrating an athlete that farms mixed 4x400s for clout, truly embarrassing.
I understand that when you are used to a competitor who races a little as possible, seeing a true athlete who races anything and everywhere can be quite a shock.
That being sad, dissing an athlete for racing is truly sad.

I don't know what he means by "farms" but Bol has actually NOT won any mixed until this one. The DNF and silver at Worlds and a bronze at Euros. So the mixed has actually tainted her overall racing record.
The mixed is turning out to be quite an unpredictable and thus exciting race. Something unexpected always seems to happen.
Re the Dutch 4x4, remember Lisanne de Witte ran a 50.5 leg at the Europeans a couple of months ago, so no reason why she can't run another sub 51 in Paris. Peeters ran 50.5 there and has now improved to a 50.1 leg in the heats.
The problem for NED is running order, as both Lisanne and Peeters are Chasera and best suited for leg 3. But one will need to run leg 1...unless Saalberg runs, who has run sub 51 in the individual.
Why do we need to even mention Sydney, she wasn't in the race, this is a celebration of Bols great leg. Shoulda woulda coulda is pointless.
I wonder what the 'unknown coach' on these boards is thinking, he of the Meuwly and Dutch hater brigade. Apparently Meuwly isn't a good coach, and yet his team just won Olympic gold LOL

Utterly under-rating and under-estimating Saalberg.
