I’ve attended 9 different Olympic events in the past week. There is no chance that a volunteer would not have been available to help her and walk her to the front of the gate. There are so many volunteers and police everywhere. Don’t believe all of the online haters. France has done a great job with excessive volunteers, police, signs, communication, and transportation.
Being a top athlete at the Olympics is exactly when "do you know who I am" reasoning should be used! They couldn't just glance in her bag and wave her through? Or even just let her in without checking her bag because she's, you know, one of the most famous athletes in history?
It is absolutely preposterous for ANY athlete, regardless of who they are, to expect they would be allowed into the facility without a standard bag check, particularly at that venue and with the elevated security concerns,
Whats absolutely preposterous is that they weren't checking bags during the previous days. This would have never happened if they did their job on day 1. Its normal for any ahtlete to assume today the security procedure will be like yesterday.
You haven’t seen the last of them. this kind of rubbish talking is the reason why America hasn’t won Olympic Gold in women’s 100 and that wait will be longer even with LA2028 on home soil. julien Alfred and Tia Clayton and other carribean girls will dominate the next couple of years and y’all will keep lamenting america hasn’t done so well this Olympic dreams of clean sweep in men’s and women’s 100 gone , men and women’s 200 gone, 110mH gone, I mean all round… this attitude gotta change and start being respectful of other competitors we all know why your athletes don’t race outside the US more and it’s got something to do with USADA and beef like in erriyon knighton case worry about the Americans first.. the Caribbean and Africa is good
