No it isn't. Syd's WR from hurdles was 50.65. Bol ran 50.95 three weeks ago at Resisprint La Chaux-de-Fonds.
50.95 at altitude... remember? Sydney will push herself to break 50 while Bol will probably run 50.9 or 51 flat.
That was barely altitude, totally not comparable to Mexico etc. Also, stating that Sydney will break 50 so matter of factly… maybe you should take a look again how the OP's bold statements aged.
OP gave me the greatest laugh I have had at a prediction since the guy who used to throw all his toys out of the pram every time he predicted Farah would fail to get gold and was wrong.
Sydney looks a bit overweight for championship race. She generally looks lean by the end of the season. I don't think she timed her peaking correctly. I am picking Bol for the win.

Should she even be part of the relays as The Netherlands have no shot at Gold in both?
Better to stay fresh for the 400h to fight for her individual bronze.
What do you mean individual bronze in 400H? She's the clear world #2 in the event and it's not remotely close. Dramatically higher odds of Bol upsetting Syd than the field upsetting either of them for gold/silver.
(The gap between Syd and Bol this season is 0.3s; the gap between Bol and world #3 this season is 1.5s lol)

Hope you are not picking the time for the end of the world.
I wouldn’t say she has no shot. we haven’t seen Sydney have a bad race in …maybe forever. But Femkes PR is only .3 behind her now. Any mis-step by Syd gives Femke a shot.
The relays should be an absolute lock for the US barring a dropped baton or other DQ (which history has shown us certainly can happen)
Wrong wrong wrong. Sydney was .86 seconds faster. Sydney is now .93 seconds faster.

It is that stupidity that must have generated all these idiotic posts and threads. The gap was never 0.3seconds. It was 0.86 seconds. It now stands at 0.93seconds.

A 50.95 ran at altitude. Bol's time in the London DL is a truer statement of her capability. The gap now stands at 0.93 seconds. Hmmmm, perhaps Sydney should go to the same mountains in the shape she is in right now and drop a 49. 87 or faster for the 400H
The track is within the limits of what is considered "altitude" and that time is equally as legit as the WR that Sydney ran on a bouncy track where wind is often an uncertain factor.
But 0.8s was always going to be an inaccurate number because even if you compensate for altitude (and by doing so, treating the 400mH as equal to the flat 400m, as there is no calculation available for the 400mH) the gap would be about 0.5s.
The gap before Bol went to the mountains was 0.80 seconds (50.65 - 51.45)
The gap after Bol returned from the mountains and competed in the London Diamond League was 0.65 seconds (50.65-51.30)
The gap after Paris Olympics now stands at 0.93 seconds. (50.37 -51.30)
Until Bol runs a faster time at sea level than her current sea level time of 51.30. That is what it is.
