I viewed 25 as 10k prime as 24-25 is most record holders ages. But Farah dominated even at 32. Regardless he’ll be in it in 2028 if /when he makes the team.

I happen to be in GB right now and watched the BBC feed. In fact it was delayed since they didn't have anyone in the race. The commentator was very complimentary of Nico as to fact he was so gassed but still hanging in there with a lap to go.
I haven’t been able to watch a replay of the race, but I’m pretty sure Young was dropped at least 600m from the finish.
would like to see him relax his face during the race, everyone is in pain they just control it better and focus on the run rather than grimacing. Lots of HS runners look like that when they hurt as you get more experience you learn how to relax. I could feel his muscles tighten from his face to his legs the last 800
They started kicking at 500m out, and Nico was barely off the back of the pack at 400m / 1 lap to go. He just didn’t have any kick left at that point. But he will absolutely be in medal contention in 2028.
He didn’t even PR, not that great of a race for him
Cheptegei's PB is 26:11, Aregawi's is 26:31, and Fisher's PB is 26:33. So they all ran 10 seconds or more slower than their PBs. What do you think about their races?
Conditions were very hot for a fast 10k. Nico's 10k was definitely worth a sub 26:50 in ideal conditions.
For those who comment on his facial expressions (of all things). Watch films of the great Emil Zatopek, or Dave Bedford. Running is painful. Running fast is extra painful. Give him a break.
It's a shame shame that he won't run for NAU for a final shot to win a NCAA XC individual title. A sub 27 10K should make him the favorite plus knowing that he can hold his own with the best in the world in Paris.
Nico will definitely get the motivation to win medal in 2028 seeing Fisher did it in Paris. 4 more years of training and Nico will be similar to Fisher
Only one year of training and you could argue Nico might have the head to head advantage now. It'll be exciting to see how things stack up in 2026
