The Americans should’ve been over in Paris today mixing it up in this event. I don’t think any of our ladies have a chance of making the podium in the 1500.
I agree. Possibly Emily Mackay. Jessica looks significantly leaner. Coree mcgees instagram has a photo together.
after seven years of running professionally, and years before that of college running.
Out of no where. 3:50.
And I'm supposed to smile and jump up and down and believe this is clean? It's not.
What a farce.
Yes. You are. In the same vein seven years pro runner and clean and all off a sudden doping. I doubt it.
why do you doubt it? Have you read any accounts of dopers? A lot of them start off clean with good intentions, and get into doping later on. It happens all the time. She probably realized she was falling into the pit of being forgotten with her clean times and started with the special sauce.
There is simply no way, no way that a seven second PR into very obvious doping zones of times is clean.

Because of the testing. What do you propose she is on? And if so why won't testing catch it? I won't believe it until proven.

Lance Armstrong famously never failed a test. Neither did Marion Jones and they were in a totally different era.
Jessica Jolliffe (née Hull born 22 October 1996) is an Australian middle- and long-distance runner. She is or has been the Oceanian record holder for the 1500 metres (indoors and out), mile (indoors and out) and 3000 metres,...
What in the world was that?? Everyone has had supershoes for 5 years now, those don't explain year-to-year drops of this magnitude anymore, much less month-to-month. Is she just coming along at the right time?
Shoe technology hasn't just stopped improving. Every new update takes off a fraction more of time.
At this pace, in a few years with the shoes, we'll likely see women's first sub-4 mile.
The mile record is only a fraction of a second worse than the 1500 equivalent. It's going to be a looooong time until women are running a 3:42 1500 or equivalent.

What follows is well beyond anything she'd done before at age 27, a 3s drop, the same age as Hull, but part of it was the shoes, and her pr at this point was from Champs and she could be figured to drop time in a Monaco setup single race. 2021 3:51.07 Stade Louis II, Monaco (MON) 09 JUL 2021 (superspikes/Monaco, 3s drop) 2022 3:50.37 Stade Louis II, Monaco (MON) 10 AUG 2022 (another .8s drop) 2023 3:49.11 Stadio Luigi Ridolfi, Firenze (ITA) 02 JUN 2023 (WR, another 1.2s drop at 29) 2024 3:49.04 Stade Charléty, Paris (FRA) 07 JUL 2024 (WR at 30!)

Notable that she was really slow at 800m until this year. Her pr had been 2:03.78 in 2019 at age 22. This year she ran 1:59.99 June 22, the obvious precursor to this race. So, her speed is markedly improved and the leader went through 800m in about 2:03 today.

Best thing she ever did was leave Pete J. Probably saved her career
Does he still coach? Rodgers?
I think Bill Rodgers was coached by Bill Squires in his Prime, Pete Julian May have Consulted Bill Rodgers as he became mostly self coached, I am sure Pete Julian contributed to Bill Rodgers career as I am Sure Bill Squires consulted with him about training methods, but I think Bill Squires was Rodgers Main Coach.
She has a strong mile time, 4:15.34 and decent 5000m time, 14:43.8, but this 1500 puts her on another level. I personally can't imagine running a 3:50.83 1500 and only a 1:59.99 800 though! Maybe if she had run an 800 today, she would've been at 1:55-ish judging from the 1500 time?

both of these are so laughable, but honestly Jess is worse. 3:57 to 3:50 will forever get me.
Kipyegon’s wr thread is all doping this and doping that but hull gets nothing but praise….
There’s literally an entire several page long thread debating if Hull is doping …
People judge doping by circumstances. Kenya had a tons of dopers in last several years. They don't seem to care as long as they can cash the check until they get caught. Kipyegon should be an exception as she already gathered enough coins. She is not desperate. I don't think Hull would be doping either because she had it pretty good without running faster. She is the top distance gal for Australia. Why ruin that with doping and ruin her career? This is why I think it's the spikes. Were they wearing new prototype Nike middle distance spikes similar to ones worn by 5000 & 10000 runners in US trials?
Americans will not medal in Paris. These two just up the stake again. Left Muir in a dust. Which Nike spikes were the two wearing?
They both were wearing the ones with the air bags today. I could sideline a discussion on running mechanics as to why that may be important, particularly for Hull, but I’ll save it, for now.
