Not to be cynical about athletes coached by a guy with the pleasant nickname, The Chemist. But if I were them, and assuming they are playing the game, I would limit myself to only the olympics and WCs to avoid exposure and racing off cycle.

Except for:
- You ARE Cynical
- You have admitted that you think that ALL top female runners except for Tuohy are on drugs (not just those coached by Kersee)
- Athing and Sydney DON'T just race in the Olympics and The World Championships
Wow. So many things wrong in your post. Try to do better.
We can only hope she goes back to her former coach Milton Mallard who knows how to coach her as 400/800. Such a waste of talent. There is no guarantee she'll be able to run when it's convenient - she needs run while she can. Look at Donovan Brazier. Any athlete can be sidelined at anytime by injury or life events. Maybe she has decided all of this herself but I think its likely she's received bad advice.
Hold that thought, she might be back in in the next 30 minutes.
Syd got a lot of criticism last week for not publicizing her appearance at Oxy but it was the smart move. Mu opening her season against a world class field is a poor strategy from her team, I agree this was always going to happen
Something still doesn't make sense. If Kersee didn't want Mu running against a top 400 field, then he could have switched her to another event, like what Sydney did. So something else is going on.
This theory that I completely fabricated doesn't make sense. I call shenanigans on myself.

I hate how the narrative pops up every time she doesn't race. Mu not racing is obviously a huge problem for the sport considering how talented she is, but from a training perspective Kersee knows what he is doing. She literally ran a huge PR last year.

In an interview with Runner’s World, the two-time Olympic gold medalist said she’s finding a routine that works for her. Sometimes that means not thinking about track at all.
Max and Seb started the UCLA GP to pivot attention away from the 2022 WC Eugene disaster which is the biggest flop in international T&F history. Masback, Diack, etc had always shied away from the West LA and Hollywood area due to required entertainment industry costs associated. It doesn't appear that Max and Seb have enough funds to pay for Olympic Gold Medalists such as Athing Mu.

Not in this case. He is spot on. They have an incredibly odd and suspicious coach and their behavior is incredibly odd and suspicious. Sometimes 2+2 really does just equal 4.
Athing Mu going to pull out of prefontaine as well! Watch this space!! She is just not excited about running anymore!
I really want her to run - mainly because her and Keely run better together against Moraa. I think Keely runs better with Mu in the race. Moraa messes with her head a little.
