Any news on Australian marathon teams for Paris?

Whoever has appealed and is putting the pressure on for a fair selection - good on them! Sick of AA making ridiculous decisions with no fallout.

There is a strong possibility that AA selectors will ignore not only their own qualifying criteria but the decision from the appeals tribunal as well!!

Why bother with a qualification (or appeals) process if it counts for nothing?

The arrogance is mind boggling.

With Leonard that wasn't the trial system fault but the world athletics bureaucracy. Same boat for Liam Adams. In my opinion they did everything right to get to Paris.

except it’s just a proof of fitness. outside of that it doesn’t count for much.
if half marathon times mattered then Jess probably misses out.

I really feel for all 6 qualified women. Anyone in their position would appeal and do anything within the rules to make that team. Vibes must be awful.

If you take this on face value it's very poor from to post this. I know that everyone in the case of an appeal must have to justify their position, but I couldn't imagine it would/should get personal...

Shouldn’t his anger be directed at the selection and/or appeals committee.

The athletes themselves don’t select who is on the team. I understand being angry but to take it out on the athlete is strange.
