Why don't you make a list of people to hit world-class times of 3:35 / 13:00 / 27:00 ... and an equally meaningless 2:15 for the maratho?

He's an amazing runner having a great season but come on guys comparing him to Geb, Bekele or Farah is laughable.

Exciting he has still got room to get better but he needs to qualify for the Olympics and win US titles before being considered a medal threat. Lets not build him up to knock him down when he doesn't live up the expectations.

Don't get me wrong Nico is very talented but it's premature to put him in the same category with Geb

If this was an achievement that would be rewarded with a big prize at the end of the year then quite a few more guys would've done it.

Not many world class mid and long distance athletes would see a point in racing 800m, 1500m, 5k and 10k in the same year.

Nico Young joins himself as the only athlete to run sub 3:35 for 1500m, sub 13 for 5000m, and sub 27 for 10000 in the same season and to get his ass kicked in a cross country school championship!

Despite running these fast times, has Nico actually won any races when doing so??

It's still very impressive but given that modern shoes make up 20-30 seconds in the 10k performance improvement and 15-20 seconds in the 5k, I'd say the most impressive aspect of this comparison is actually the 800 & 1500 performances.

...more impressive would be to run fast while winning though!
