PS. I asked Jonathan if the headline was too harsh as it wasn't a horrible run for him but it certainly wasn't an impressive run. I"d really have liked to have seen 3:36 or faster.
ROJO it's March. Centros days of being ready in March are over. Let's see how he looks late may early June before judging
Nikki Hiltz is here. Probably just here to watch but maybe a last minute pacer for the fast 10k heat?
Nikki Hiltz is warming up with one of the women's 10k fast heat runners. Either Hiltz got really bored and didn't feel like sitting around any longer, or Hiltz is pacing!
Never really been a Drew Hunter fan but that’s a solid run
And yeah boys: Centro haters are devastated. They expected a 3:40-43 back-of-the-pack performance that would indicate he’s “done.” But clearly that’s not the case. Top 3 at USA’s is still a moonshot, but again: he’s not the guy to bet against for championship racing.
This is in the ballpark of the 13:17 he ran here in December 2020. I don’t follow what these guys do but maybe he took a page out of Parker Valby’s notebook and has worked on cross training. Again I have no idea.

i would gain a great deal of respect for nikki. who doesn't love a great teammate. Even if for only 4k or so.
OK, maybe he's been chasing the wrong event for all these years!
He ran a great race, don’t get me wrong. Moved up patiently and took it to them the last 3 laps: 64-64-60. But you could tell he was working pretty hard with a mile to go, and this was the ‘B’ heat. The fact is there are a lot of guys with solid range from 1500-10k, and 27:38 in a time trial setup isn’t exceptional for a 3:34.86 - 7:39 - 13:17 guy. It puts him in the same place as he was before: a level below being a contender to make any U.S. teams.

Drew and Cooper should be at world cross every year just putting some younger eyes on the event and the US team, living their best life.
Anybody got a stream? Followed the guy on the first page’s instructions re: Facebook live stream (“LiveRun”) and/or discord channel, but think he was just trolling

LiveRun on Facebook (not the most followed/popular one) is still live streaming as are members of a popular running podcast discord channel

27:38 beats this by a good deal. I'd be suprised if he isn't at least in shape to run 13:07 which is a pretty decent jump for him, but still a notch below the top group. He was completely out of the picture before tho

They list Werner, Goldstein, and Rawlings as Pacers.

No you are not making sense here. 28:08 is something a woman might be doing in a decade. But she won’t be running 13:17. Because it is suoerior to 28:08.
