Regarding comparing performaces old and new. During Covid, May 2020 I had some spare time under lockdown. Decided one Sunday morning to run a marathon on my local track. Ran 3:19:53 solo. I was 53 years at that time and run 50-60 km a week. Winning time in the St. Louis Olympic Marathon 1904 was 3:28:53. Needless to say that the level of fitness needed back then was not at par with today. I ran 9 min. faster than the winning time.

Sorry man Rojo, I'm a big fan of Jakob just like you and everybody, but with this Achilles injury, with also his loss of sacred masculine substance to Elisabeth his wife to produce an offspring, Budapest was the final time we ever saw the best of him in the 1500m and maybe even the 5000m, but definitely so for the 1500m!!!! He will probably get lots of Olympic medals but it won't be gold I assure you sir!!!!
