As you begin to game along side him, exhibit less becoming behavior. Become portly and insufferable. Continue to use outdoor propaganda, like bikini girl calendar cutouts, and an old copy of a bodybuilding magazine or SI. I’m talking like, place these things few and far between, because too much will give away what you’re doing.
at some point, you must exhibit a triumphant return to form, wherein it’s very obvious that you’ve improved your life substantially after quitting the video games.
This is hilarious. But also not too far off.
I've had similar issues with my kids and screens. My teenager had a lot of trouble last year during school staying off his phone (no idea why the school even allows this) but what I did was to delete all social media off my phone and reduce my screen time on my phone. Then I would go up to him and brag about how little screen time I had and show him the daily screen time reports on my phone. He ended deleting the apps he was obsessively using as well and started trying to get his time under 1 hour as well. Now he's made a pretty good habit of staying off his phone for the most part.
