NCAA T&F/XC athletes are not getting NILs because they are pretty blondes if you look at the facts and stop being blinded by outrage for the patriarchy. NIL athletes are mostly NCAA champs (Valby, Ramsden, Markezich, Whittaker, Rose, Willis, Blanks, Robinson, Howell, etc), athletes brands feel will be in the future (Jackson, Bunnage, etc) or have a large social media presence (Young twins).
This troll thread is a bonanza of fakery, misogyny, and racism. Dump on women based on your opinion of their appearance. Whee! Put your racist filter out there. Whee! F this sh!t
Nothing more pathetic than women who judge every man they see based on things like height and financial status and then clutch their pearls when women are treated the same way.
If NIL existed before the age of social media, we might have a discussion about how appearances were playing too much of a role. But NIL today exists because student athletes have a social media presence that becomes an instant advertising platform for the NIL sponsor. Athletes with a lot of social media followers then become sought after for NIL deals. Of course, hot blonde girls attract more followers than other athletes and get the NIL deals.
In a way, this is a small step forward as these athletes are in control of their social media presence and do not have to pose for a spread in Maxim or do an appearance at the local car show. But this also creates a sub market of hot student athletes that is a bit divorced from athletic performance and achievements.
I'm outraged by your fake outrage. So...take that!
Anna Kournikova barely cracked the top 100 in women's tennis. She got all the sponsorship deals that the 99-or-so women who were better than her did not. There's more to life than getting paid for winning the genetic lottery. Much more.
And you don't think that the top tennis players have not won the genetic lottery?

In part, but it's only a fraction of the equation. Remember your Gladwell and "the 10,000 hour rule." It says that those at the top got there largely because they practice *much more* than those below them.
Let's flip genders and take a look at Andre Agassi. He trained like a madman, had a father who enforced a strict training regimen, and, for a brief time during his downfall, got mixed up with meth (as in methamphetamine). My point is that "genetic lotteries" give some people advantages, but sometimes advantages come with challenges and obstacles that ppl who don't have them have to deal with.

If you have a daughter that is certifiably hot/ beautiful you owe it to her to have a discussion about her situation. She has a physical asset akin to a male that can throw a 100 mpw fast ball, and it is up to you to make sure she maximizes that "gift" to her advantage.
That means only dating guys that have a big future or that come from very well off families. If she does it right, she and her children will be well cared for in a safe stable home for the rest of her life.

All that is true but please don’t quote that moronic Gladballs who goes through life trying to own the obvious.
Are you Malcolm? Because only he would still be spouting that trash still about the 10,000 hour rule. And we know he checks this site everyday
Gladwell is a smart guy for dumb people. Actually I take that back... I don't think he's smart at all, he just plays the part... an actor more than intellectual.

Thanks. To save me some time, could you give me a list of "quote-approved" posters? Wait...does it include you? Now I don't know what to do...
Feminism goes out the door when world War 3 hits then all the pretend feminists will ironically gladly revert to the kitchen.
But the reality is, when you become a woman, you have the easy card to life. Now be a hot woman, and your easy pass just escalated substantially. But if a man has an advantage over women, say in sports (the complaining pertains to the financial difference because there's a sick obsession with money), then there's suddenly a problem. Go figure. Now go put 20k people in attendance nightly at the wnba games then get back to me if you want change.
You've clearly never been pregnant if you think women have the easy card to life.
If it was so bad women wouldn't willingly enjoy popping out 2+ kids. They would have 1 and then say no thanks never again. There's women who have 8. Woe is you. You just want attention. Try getting kicked in the balls. No man does that willingly. Far worse
Are you guys new to how advertising and media works? Any movie or show with an “ugly” girl is just a hot girl with glasses and maybe a dumpy sweatshirt. The actors that play doctors, lawyers, cops, etc are way too hot to be actual people working on those fields.
Athletes are sponsored to sell products. Being attractive is a major component and combined with socials can be just as important or more than athlete performance. What fantasy land do you guys live in where companies are handing out money to sell products strictly based on performance?
He is a secret you probably don’t want to hear, that good looking guy that is tall will also get promoted faster at work. Without being better at the same job.
