Many swimming races will be heavily anticipated, starting with opening night Titmus vs McIntosh vs Ledecky at 400 freestyle. That race is guaranteed to be NBC's focus as the Games begin.
I'm sure you're right that NBC will hype up the American swimmers (esp women), but my bet for the biggest NBC pre-Paris hype is everything to do with Simone Biles. She's a gold-medal favorite (check) American (check) female (check) gymnast (check) coming back from a dramatic failure (check) of which NBC has tons of footage to use. On the NBC hype-o-meter, she only loses points for not being white.
You are way off the mark claiming Biles loses points for not being white. As someone who worked for NBC among other aports networks, I can tell you any black athlete GAINS points for being black. Same goes for any athlete who isn’t white. I suapect you already know this and are simply being disingenuous in order to attack whites in roundabout fashion.

are you completely braindead bud? the us media hates white people
I think these sorts of comments from Nordas/Kerr are lame. Why are you conceding every race but 1 and lowering expectations before you even test your fitness? Isnt Nordas the guy who went in one year from 3:36 to 3:29 with a 52 last lap last season? He should be aiming for 3:27/28 this season and challenging Jakob throughout the season. You know Nuguse will be. The 1500 weirdly has this pedestal thing with the top guy and too much deference to the top dog. Used to be Tim, then Jakob. Feels like for 95% of the competitors the circuit races will be lost before the gun goes off. Hoping Reynold, Laros and Yared change that.
I fully agree with your post. -Both Kerr and Nordås should work with their consistency (which I am sure they do) but also in races. And although I think their trash talk against Jakob is somewhat entertaining I think they lose by being so obsessed with him. -They should chill and let the legs do the talking!
In addition to all this Nordås has some tactically / psychologically challenges: Firstly: He struggles even more than Jakob with the opening speed. In Jakob’s case this seems to be a wise tactical decision (slow first 100m), but since we know Jakob is above average nervous / tense when racing this may be a factor, and maybe the same with Narve (struggled with the opening pace in the Bowerman mile which he really shouldn’t)…
Furthermore: Nordås is really bad in his best event (5000m) -he places f.ex fourth or fifth in a race without being exhausted at all. Well, he really suffers in hot weather conditions, but the mentioned race was not hot. -I think he needs to get out his potential by learning to relax, not being all over in media, and shut his big mouth! Saying all that I really really root for him, and I think you made a big error in your doping allegations against him (you should evaluate all the details in his 2022 / 2023 situation that indicate a natural progression, and not only discharge these as “only a little more attention from Gjert” or “the benefit from not being trained down by Jakob anymore” -a further evaluation would confront you with significantly stronger reasons for natural progression than your Gjert or Jakob sayings…)
Lastly: I think we are in for a exciting “treat” the coming year -not only Jakob, but Nuguse and Nordås and even maybe Kerr, and a lot of others…
We have our new villain. Kerr and Jakob will be preoccupied with each other after all the smack talk. Narve is coming to strike
Will any other race have anything close to the drama of the men's 1500? If there's only one race I watch in the entire Olympics is has to be that one. Lyles somehow breaking the 200 record would be the only thing to make me even question that
It should definitely be the most stacked in history if all the top guys are healthy, in form, and make the final. Imagine if - Jakob, Kerr, Wightman, Nguse, Nordas, Katir, Kipsang, Potato Tim (unlikely) all bring their A Game. Then both Mills and Laros could be medal contenders too by the summer. Would be great if Cameron Myers made the final too. Unlikely to be a factor of course, but for future posterity looking back at the most stacked final in history.
From your link" Without naming names or providing any proof, a former Norwegian anti-doping official has claimed that several top athletes in the country engaged in blood doping in recent years."
One point many miss about European style socialism is how much of it is funded indirectly by the US tax payer through its financing of NATO & paying for the defense of Europe. European countries spend less on defense & have money to pay for entitlement systems. The US still acts as if it’s the Worlds protector & police force despite a 34 trillion dollar deficit. This needs to change & Europe needs to pay its fair share.
My Norwegian newspaper subscription is worth its weight in gold. Aftenbladet has given its 2023 sport's achievement award to Norve Nardas and some of the quotes from Nordas are bound to turn some heads. Here are the highlights via bing/google translate.
At another point in the article, it says the brothers asked him to no longer be coached by their father but he declined to take that advice.
Thanks for sharing. Please note his name is Narve Nordås. To add the little o above the a, you can press and hold the a if using iPhone, or CTRL+SHIFT+@, a if typing on a PC, or insert special characters if using Google. It’s important to show respect for other cultures by publishing names properly.
Also, they aren't Norwegian, they call themselves Nordmenn. I can't believe you just missed such blatant disrespect without mentioning it. That's at least a 20 lash punishment for not reporting this offense. Off to the stockades with you.

I assume Jakob going for both 1500 and 5000 in Paris? If the 1500 goes out slowly on first lap I could see Jakob deciding to pace himself, and play catch me if you can. Hard to do but he’s capable of it. No doubt Nuguse will stay right on him. I really think Nuguse may be the only guy to defeat Jakob in fast race.
It will be difficult to state who will be in his game A next summer. Half of them could break at some step. Nuguse (with the help of American conditions) look very potent in the future.
But I feel that Jakob brought at his depend a new renewal of the British Middle distances in the next years.

So you type Chinese people's names in Mandarin? Korean people's names in Hangul? How about Arabic? Cyrillic? Thai?

If you've worked for NBC (or ever watched the Olympics), then surely you know that their Olympic coverage differs from typical sports reporting because they are catering to a viewing audience that mostly doesn't follow Olympic sports or even sports at all in many cases, so the prime-time shows are more about athlete stories than actual competitions. And you surely are aware that NBC has been repeatedly criticized for focusing on white Olympic athletes while giving less coverage to successful black teammates, for example Dominique Dawes, Gabby Douglas, and Simone Manuel. Here's an example from 2016 of some of that criticism:
Hi everyone, I hope you didn't miss my perfectly fashioned comments on LRC as I was on a mini-sabbatical to get away from all anthropogenic RFs and EMFs, recharge my eccentric brain like a battery and be ready for this Olympic year where I will be rooting for both Josh Kerr and Jakob Ingebrigsten to beat each other and share the gold medal actually!
Now that Rojo is trying to upend my hopes of Josh and Jakob sharing the gold medal in Paris, I might have to think that to be fair to Narve he should also prospectively share the gold medal so that for the first time in Olympic history shall we see 3 men share the gold medal at once!
There shall be no outright winner, sorry folks........
I dun think so, I'm convinced Jakob and Narve are clean at least because my instincts are enlivened solely by distance running and distance events. I understand how the sequences of space-time works for high-performance running and the various clean or unclean paths because I understand electromagnetic Physics. The study of electromagnetic RF physics conditions my eccentric brain to have great eccentricity (read unusual talent) for space-time peculiarities which then bestows upon me the correct or right instincts to know the truth or falsity of something instinctively and intuitively without too much objective data in front of my eyes.
That's me! I can't explain it objectively showing you figures and charts because I JUST KNOW! It's my talent just like some people have talent for distance running etc......
What you say is generally correct through my supreme RF-honed sense filters, but you neglect 1 thing on this planet---- altitude DOES NOT benefit sea level racing only altitude-level one! The science is very clear for that.
Instead, it's the generally tranquil and rural countryside environments that is relatively reduced of anthropogenic RF and EMF exposures that accompany altitude training destinations like Sierra Nevada that HIDES as the true and real benefit.
You need to discern better here, thank you!
