I guess Brosnan's success with his girls team didn't matter? How many high school coaches are successful with both genders? That number dwindles pretty freakin' quick. Heck...how many coaches have great athletes and do nothing with them? And some of you who might be using sub 9 as a judgement point...go for it. How many did Brosnan get to sub 9:20? Sub 9:15? Sub 9:10? This is where you get to say those don't matter in the scope of the team he built, but chances are these kids are better than you were in high school and how many coaches in the US would take any one of these kids on their team? It was more than 2 families so can we just leave it at that?
