I know there was a similar thread on this earlier in the week but now Kipchoge has no excuses. He's back on social media - doing PR work in China - and still crickets.
I'm a huge Kipchoge fan but even I will admit it's not a good look.
But I'm fine with it. What's always impressed me is his dedication to being the best.. Year in year out. I guess this just proves he's super competitive.
Let's just respect him for being the GOAT - he doesn't need to be propped up as some sort of Gandhi type dude.
I don't understand why this is an issue. Why does anyone care whether the former record holder congratulates the new record holder? If Kiptum thinks he should have received congratulations he can use that as motivation in his next race, but it shouldn't matter to anyone else.
Maybe it’s because Kiptum is the most suspect runner since Taoufik Makhloufi?
Maybe he knows something you do not. Maybe it's what we're all thinking. That goes for the women's record as well, whether he acknowledged that one or not.
