Are they fixing the course as it does not match the map that is online?
They should fix their time results also. How can runners be timed through 2-miles and then not show up in the final result. Also they list a team’s 3,4 and 5 finishing 33,49 and 50 in the team result box. When you look at the individual result there are different schools in those finishing places.
Maybe the course isn’t long it that Woodbridge’s timers are malfunctioning and giving incorrect times.
The data points I have at show it’s 30 to 45 seconds. Example a 4:16 guy from Palos Verdes ran 15:20 he ran 15:00 last year. I would say he is better than last year by 20 secs. Another example fastest time of the day was 14:46 that runner ran 14:06 last year. Last years course was probably short. Just saying you have data points doesn’t mean much with out having actual data. How I gathered data was looking at runners times who ran the race last year and compared them to this year. Most kids have about a 4 to 15 percent improvement from year to year. There will be some that run slower. I also looked at the winners times from last year for each race and compared them. On average it was 40secs to 1 min slower. Average winning race times don’t change that much from year to year most of the time they get faster.
That runner that ran 14:06 last year says it was the best race of his life. He has been injured and its been a slow start to his season, there was less pressure on this race so he can focus on post season. He most definitely didn't run the equivalent of his 14:06 last year, he would need to be in very fit and need the sweepstakes race to push him.

It was one example out of the few examples I have given. You gave me no examples. So until you do that I have a much stronger argument than you do. As you have no validation to say it was only 20 secs. Having a interview of a runner saying he had the race of his life and saying he went through some injuries before running on Saturday doesn’t refute my claims as I looked at the averages of the top times from last year and compared them to this years. Last years course was probably short and the fastest it has ever been except for maybe the Estancia course this years was the slowest.

Dude…this is a HIGH SCHOOL meet in the middle of September when races only matter in two months. This post reeks of a know it all teammate that always underperforms and is too analytical for their own good in the context of athletics.
“No no no, Bekele ran this time and won this race on this day in this year”
”No no no, the dragonfly’s provide a exact 3.1457264748% return on energy with people who have longer strides, according to the evidence I’ve gathered”
Lol it’s also a race that people pay money to go to and where they charge 20 dollars to park yet they can’t measure a course correctly. There’s more people that attend this meet than Nationals for college. Also it being 0.078 doesn’t also account for all the turns they added. I have hosted meets I make sure to measure the course several times it’s ok to be off a few feet not .078 . Everyone complaining has a right to be annoyed.
