You're completely wrong. Justin Gatlin got busted TWICE for drugs and Nike still sponsored him. Plenty of other athletes have acted strangely or been busted for drugs and still have sponsors.
Your problem is that you are thinking about how YOU personally feel and not how sponsors actually act.

Runners don't sell shoes, at least not in enough volume to matter. I go buy the shoes that work best for me, I don't care what pros wear them. I'm not buying a lifestyle brand like the NBA sells, I'm buying functionality that doesn't need celebrity endorsement.

This isn't just about doping allegations.
It’ true that there are some 15 or so accounts posting the same accusations as seen on LR. There are well over 5,000 accounts liking the post of Wiley’s record. And Wiley’s account has gained over 750 followers in the last week. That’s okay for someone who only started focusing solely on running last year.

Nikki Hiltz gets a ton of flack from people and Hiltz has a sponsor.
All you "Wiley can't get a sponsor" people have no clue what you're talking about. Anyone woman who can run 1:57 and 3:59 can get a sponsor. It's as simple as that.
And she has the looks and personality to boost her contract even more. A few Tuohy fans are sour because a younger runner surpassed her. There will be more to do it.

The Huntington situation feels like a borderline cult. Some things transcend how fast you can run a 1500. She’s going to run NAIA XC after running diamond league races? Thats not rational decision making.
If she quietly walked away from the Huntington circus, of course she could get a major deal today. Otherwise, no major brand will hitch itself to that crazy train.
