Latinos reading this please given information about who is her coach and what type of training she does? Does she have any connection to Rodolfo Gomez (2:09:0/1983), the famous Mexican coach who produced in recent years so many great Peruvian and Bolivian runners?

I chat with the magic wizard and he confirmed it was just a rumor. He told he never coached Galvan.
I am surprised to read the assumptions of some of you who have not the slightest idea of the athletic environment of your neighboring country!!!! Somebody comes up with an unsubstantiated idea, a gossip and from there, others follow them. I live and work in Mexico City and I know Laura Galvan's trajectory since she started running when she was a little girl. Her coach's name is Cecilio Blancarte, they live and train in the city of Guanajuato and yes, the article that appears in the Milenio newspaper describes a good summary of her sporting career. They, Laura, her coach and her work group, have no connection with Rodolfo Gomez, who by the way, is still working as a coach here in Mexico City. She lives and trains at high altitude most of the year, Guanajuato is a high region between 2200 to 2600 m above sea level. They have no official help from the Mexican Athletics Federation. Later I can share with you part of her training program that she has been following since returning from the USA. His coach is a close friend of mine and he shares with me the work she has been doing. Laura is a great combination of talent, the right environment, family support and a very passionate Mexican coach with enough experience and knowledge to take an athlete from a medium level to high performance.

Thank you Marco for the information that you provided and I remembered your name from previous posts from a long time ago when you went into depth about the elite Moroccan distance running programs. Based on your work as an elite coach in Mexico and your position at the University in Monterey this reinforces the idea that Galvan is most likely clean and above board.
Faster 3k pr than Cranny, who finished just ahead of Laura in the Budapest 5k final.
She's 31 . . . been at this pro running thing now for over a decade . . . finally paying off.
