This is a thread about Wiley, not Tuohy.
Tuohy is not a 1500 runner anyway.
Keep on topic, sparky

Well duh. How do we discuss her possibility of making the team without discussing other runners? Hiw do write discuss how her potential progression without discussing progression of other top runners who are older? Pay attention. Living a vacuum woukd be just saying she will make all future teams I guess because you don't want to mention anyone else. You can make a team if no other runner is worth mentioning.

Tuohy is the NCAA mile record holder. So who would you use as a benchmark? How would you project expected progression? Look at some slow woman?

No. You're pitiful. To call this kid dirty when you have absolutely no proof is about as low as it gets. Of course, you say the same thing about every professional runner who's never tested positive. So at least you're consistent, I guess.
Train wreck? She is the most talented American to come along in a long time. She almost made the US team. How do you define success?

To accuse a high school girl of doping when there is no verified truth is even more pitiful.
But he will never accuse his niece.

Someone needs a reality check. Wiley is not even close to being the most talented American. Athing Mu is world class from the 400 to the 1500. She just turned 21 in June. The 1500 is only her 3rd best event and yet she finished 2nd at USATF in it. Aside from her running ability, Mu is also a class act and an excellent role model.
1500. Yes Mu is very talented. But as the expert Astro had taught us, 400/800 runners can be world class at a young age but 1500 amd up takes more years of development. Mu was running much slower than Wiley in the 1500 at age 19.

I have not followed any of the details and really have no interest in doing so. Just make it easy and tell us what crimes Wiley has been charged with. Or what drug tests she has failed.
It seems to me that unless she is charged with a felony or tests positive for a banned substance there is no reason she cannot continue to race, regardless of what you or anyone else thinks of her. And given that she missed the World team by only one spot that certainly makes her worthy of discussion on a running board.
Interesting that she has passed all of her tests while most college runners ha e never been tested. A reasonable person woukd place higher odds of someone doping on the one who is untested than the one who has passed tests.

You are completely missing the point. Mu is just getting started in the 1500. She still trains as a 800/400 runner and yet she qualified for the World team in her 3rd best event.
So Mu ran slower in the 1500 at age 19? WTF difference does that make? I’m sure 19 year old Mu was very happy with her Olympic Gold and American record in the 800. First American woman in 50 years to accomplish this. She then anchored the US 4x4 with a 48 split. Second gold medal. Another gold in the 800 at WC last year. If Mu decides to go all in on the 1500, she will be the top American. Kipyegon is a whole other level and of course no one expects Mu to beat her.

For a coach, you have a surprising dearth of knowledge, Nick.
