Magness admitted to taking drugs himself as a part of science experiment. What more evidence do you need to have to ban someone from the sport than his own words?
If you're going to accuse someone of doping, just list their name instead of beating around the bush (eventhough everyone knows who you're talking about). If you have zero hard evidence other than "so and so's former coach's husband doped his athletes," then don't say anything.
She's only 19 and stuff like this will mess with her mind and make her commit suicide or something crazy like that.
lol. homie, that's not the way libel/slander laws work.
calling out suspicious circumstances is just as important as exercising restraint against unfounded accusations. this is literally the function of the message boards here - making sense out of messages.

On LR everything and everyone is 'suspicious'.
The function of the message boards is ... there isn't one. This isn't a serious running forum.
When are you going to learn about the ad hominem logical fallacy? The truth value of Magness's factual comment on a factual investigation is entirely independent of his own past actions. Now, if he were talking about a personal experience he had with the Johnsons at NOP, then facts about his own experience would be relevant.
What's the point of this. We could start insinuating that quigs dropped out to avoid suspicion from competing and with her old teams history and it wouldn't be completely baseless. If Wiley fails a test cool otherwise she needs to shut up and run some track races. It also seems like every pro is linked to someone in the doping arena too so it's not that hard of a stretch to start letting the weak accusations fly
The NAIA is the wild west. No drug testing, so it's easy for athlete's to avoid detection. Reminds me of a former NAIA runner from 2010-2014 that went from 2:16/5:09/19:37 (XC) to 2:06/4:11 (1500)/16:42, with most of that improvement happening coming off of a leg break. The second she went to a post collegiate group she fell off the face of the earth, in no small part due to her no longer being able to dope.
1. Colleen--It's good that she and Aisha P-L are speaking up about this. I know Aisha has personal ties to the Johnsons from the time she spent with them at OTC. I hate inconsistency though. It's easy to throw shots at the Johnsons, Addy and the Wetmores as she has done on threads, but a little harder to do so at other running controversies, like Schumacher and Shelby which she has not done likely because she was at one time close to them. I would love to hear her perspective on Shelby continuing to profess innocence and to compete. Women in the beer mile voiced dissent about Shelby competing there and Molly Huddle came in to support. No Colleen there. You can't pick and choose which issues to stand for. If you are anti doping you need to be anti doping in all things.
2. I'm no fan of Magness but I feel like berating him for his past forays into doping when he blew the whistle is a bit counter productive. If we keep bringing that up, other people are going to be hesitant to speak out if their pasts are not squeaky clean. Ultimately Salazar holds the most responsibility and Magness was instrumental in making sure he was exposed. With that being said, him using his dog whistle fame to turn into a weird grifty influencer is annoying.

Name which distance athletes at USAs worked with coaches *confirmed* in either court docs/police records to have been in possession of EPO and testosterone? It's not as long a list as you'd like to make out.
It's amazing watching people try shrug off serious and valid questions as "pft who hasn't been coached by someone whose wife admitted they have a stash of banned PEDs?"
It's interesting that 90% of the comments here are either ad hominem against Quigley/Magness or are what aboutism. I don't like Magness and Quigley either, but I don't need to like them or be a Saint, it just matters that they are right that it's a very suspicious situation.

Talking about Hillary Holt here. One of the more blatant dopers. I raced in the Cascade Conference and everyone talked about her sudden improvement and her very sudden change in physique.

I was referring to guilty by association or those associated to the guilty by association. I also said it's pointless when the athlete hasn't failed a test. It's smearing I won't do that. It not fair to the innocent.

Yet here you are. GTFO if you see no function for the boards. They are the only place to legitimately discuss the pro running scene. If you don't see what is suspicious about the Wiley situation then you are either biased or stupid. With that said, I do believe in innocent until proven guilty. I hope she is a clean as a whistle; I recognize that she is a mega talent; I was supremely impressed with her responses to Gault. She seems like a great kid. Doesn't mean her circumstances are not shady as hell.

Wiley? Are you kidding? Take a look at her progression on WA. What exactly is so suspicious? Andrews is more sus than Wiley. But then again we all know about that
