NAU’s National Championship team from this past season is still very young, and guys like Nico Young (2nd) and Drew Bosley (3rd) are both returning. They simply don’t need more guys coming in.

Yes though, Mike Smith definitely does prefer quality of quantity

Schools are recruiting with NIL money. It’s not supposed to be legal but it’s all word of mouth so it isn’t really traceable. I know this for a fact because a girl I was recruiting ultimately decided to go to one of these schools because they offered her $11k a year in NIL money, despite $0 athletic scholarship. The thing I don’t understand is how these men’s teams are getting so many roster spots!

NIL means that schools with plenty of NIL money basically have an unlimited amount of scholarships. That's crazy. That's totally not the originally intent behind NIL.

He said he used milesplit. I estimate that it took 2 hours but I question the completeness. I pay closer attention the the women and I can tell you that some don't have their commitments listed in milesplit.

Other than that, it seems like most of the best runners they're recruiting are international

Stanford has roster management issues. For example, last year the entire track team had only 3 recruits (the sherrys and Bergen). This class is similar, maybe a sprinter or two though. Sad state of affairs when JJ lets the AD cut their size without a fight. They have 3 studs carrying
