Imagine having people hundreds/thousands/millions of critique everything about you in a public forum. Not easy being a public figure. What a precious gift it is to be a normal, anonymous person.
I'm not interested in your BS "I don't know what event I'll run in Budapest yet". I'm not interested in your public displays of religion. I'm not interested in your insecurities & needing your husbands approval. I'm not interested in seeing how you are controlled by your coach and by your husband.
Just get on the track and get racing You'd think she was the only person ever to face pressure, have the weight of expectation on their shoulders, or run the 400m. They made it sound like it was the most complicated event ever, or the most dramatic switch from running hurdles to flat. GIVE. ME. A. BREAK.
Damn sounds like you got the problems going on. Like if a promotional video and her personality on YouTube enrages you that much.
This site seems to have some individuals with some very interesting views (strange).
This site has done a lot of great things for the world of running (collaboration, interviews, fellowship, races, results, training, etc).
I wonder if it would be better to have two running sites, one for Distance Runners (Letsrun.com - Marathons down to the 1000m) and one for Sprinters (maybe up to the 800m) and Field Events.
I am certain the opinions, thoughts, training advice (different shorter events), would be much different.

How about two sites - one for normal people and one for crazy people? There are way too many crazy people here.

Agree. Vomit is a clown.
Your dramatic response reveals that Sydney is living rent-free in your head. This circus of emotions you're exhibiting is more fitting for a clown than a critic.
Sydney's personal YouTube channel provides a glimpse into her life - her faith, relationships, and athletic decisions. It's optional viewing. No one is compelling you to tune in.
You paint a caricature of her life and struggles, but I doubt you've ever faced even a fraction of the pressure that comes with being a world-record-breaking athlete. It's easy to critique from a cozy armchair, far removed from the relentless spotlight Sydney navigates daily. Remember, she's performing a high-wire act on the global stage while you sit in the audience, safe and anonymous.
Your comments reveal more about your narrow understanding of what it takes to be an elite athlete than they do about Sydney. As you squander time nitpicking her videos, she's out there shattering records. So, while you belittle her, she's busy making history. Ironically, even though she's the one running the race, she seems to be running circles around you in your own mind. Now, who's the real winner here?"
Didn't read all this above and also skipped through the movie every minute because I didn't like it (camera work, editing, colors, color grading) and also New Balance/USATF should have released a short movie for her WR/WRs; this race didn't matter even if some people think the opposite, it's all about championship finals...
However I think, maybe we all agree, except for those who are concerned about her problems, that something like this would be much more popular:
I miss this Sydney, the one that was quirky and funny and allowed to laugh and have fun. The Sydney prior to her husband... I mean God demanding all praise for her accomplishments. I can only image what would happen to her if she laughed inappropriately or didn't fake smile on demand.

Didn't watch the whole thing but the race commentary was very confusing. Any 400m runner knows the race is get out fast, float, resurge. She said she felt she was locked into that fast pace... Which is why we saw her tie up at the end and lose. The strategy might make a little more sense on the men's side since they're running 5 seconds less than the top women. Needs a new coach for sure if they can't handle the basics.
for you long distance idiots who don't know to stay in their lane, syd just ran a pb doing that exact strat. basic facts aren't that hard to verify.
1) I gotta admit, when I first became aware of it, a snarky thought that popped into my head was, "Wow she races so little , they have to make a 13-minute film about a 49-second race."
2) Having watched it, my main thought is it's cool what a good film maker can do. You can dramatize everything and make it better than real life.
3) As a track fan, I'm stunned by the insecurity. Near the end she asks her husband if he's proud of her for her season opener? Are you kidding me?
4) She says she hates race day and I now understand why she hardly every races. She makes it into way too big of a deal and this film only makes it worse. Millions of track athletes had a season opener this year. It shouldn't be a big deal even for a WR holder but it is for her and this film will only make her anxiety worse.
PS. I was stunned they tried to make her out an underdog at the opening. The film opens with her finishing last in the 60 hurdles (where she was cldearly not even trying) indoors in 2021 and her saying people thought she might not make the team. That didn't happen right? Did any legitimate person doubt she'd make the team when she ran the 60h? Everyone with a brain new she was just fulfilling a sponsor obligation and going through the motions, right?
The answer is that it was cool and that you're ridiculous.
She's run 49.5 for 400 this year and 50.68 for 400 Hurdles last year while you sit around criticizing her relationship.
Posts like this just prove that even when athletes are transparent and make cool stuff to try to grow the sport, old grandpas who are still bitter about their sub-par careers while find something wrong with it.
1. Grow up.
2. Quit being an old-ass hater.
PS. Pretty sure you're not her coach and just some Internet troll, so I don't think she'll be looking for your opinions.

Boring video. Couldn’t care to sit through more than a couple minutes.

I fast forwarded to where Paulino runs her narcissistic butt down. That was it for me.
They've learned from the first video and made some right adjustments - a bit more natural, less sycophant-ish, more information and they openly talked about the race strategy. The snippets with her support team were a positive change too.
Negatives: far too much of Andre. This is about her, not him. He had as much camera time. He's also giving me down low vibes, but that's another topic. Also still too much religion. The pre race prayer led by Andre made me vom.
