Wow - both LSU's Sean Burrell (2x defending 400H champ) and Arkansas' Ayden Owens-Delerme are too slow to make it to the 400H final! That's a big surprise.
Appears Nico Young will be the only NAU men's athlete to be in a final for Friday.
Quickly looking through the women's start lists, Young is the only NAU athlete left in the meet. Cross country is one thing and track is another I guess.
Not exactly. They have a woman in the 100 tomorrow and David Dunlap competing in the 200 later tonight. Probably won’t advance to the finals but Nico still has company
Uhh did you watch the race? He dropped a field of the best collegiate 800 runners and the let up at the end. If it's quick tomorrow I would not at all be surprised to see a 1:44.xx

Not to be a downer (it was a great run), but is he really the future? He only improved 0.53 seconds since high school.
Brazier went from 1:47.55 to 1:45.92i, and then 1:43.55 outdoors.
Well, you're comparing Sumner to a world champion and the American record holder, so that says something. Brazier ran 1:45.07 in the 2016 NCAA semi (after 1:46.19 in the SECs), compared to Sumner's 1:46 flat, so not too far off.
