I wouldn't say Paul has done much for our country. He traveled overseas and raced. I know he was Army but dodged actual service through being a member of WCAPS. I am a vet and deployed so I am allowed to have my opinion on this. I signed up to serve and I did as I want the retirement and don't have any other jog prospects. Making the Olympic team lets be real your not doing it to represent your country you are doing it for more selfish reasons, just like I did so I could feel holier than everyone with a desk job. If he was truly about USA we wouldn't know who he is because he would have been in uniform his entire military service years.

1) You make a good point. I once dated a woman who said , " I don't get all the runner guys. Why do you try to act all macho and overcompensate for being 6' 140? You are nerds and nerds are sexy. Women love it. Embrace it"
2) HOw are we trying to be cool? I do think weldon spends way too much time putting out video highlights of the podcast but he's just putting out in video form something we already recorded. Each week, we debate running and shoot the shi* on our podcast. In my mind, it was obvoius that Chelimo wouldn't be racing in the UK unless he was ready to go. Jonathan seemed to think he was washed.

Your way out of line. Did you serve this country? It's also job prospects not jog prospects. Sure wejo can look him or her up but rojo/wejo telling you who he or she is would make him or her a very wealthy person because it's called freedom of speech. The reality is a lot of elite runners use the military as an easy way to get citizenship and compete. Actual active military is locked down under things like post, duty, deployments WCAP athletes are not they are basically pro athletes. I have had several friends on the WCAP teams and they told me personally that it is a lax environment and the primary stress is making sure to hit time standards to keep your spot. Also your talk about only infantry can talk is completly out of line, anyone that has deployed regardless can talk. Do you know how many people get killed on ships every year? What about training accidents, service related illness from fatigue and stress? Getting shot is hardly the only danger in uniform almost everything can be. Let me tell you how WCAPS works an athlete gets a set amount of years I want to say 4 to train and compete then they are required put a uniform on and actually serve outside of WCAPS you can train and race just on your own. It's basically giving back to the Army. If I am correct Chelimo went Army Nike were is his service Time? Have you even met the guy or are you just a fan boy of his?
