I left out a few pieces of info in the first post that made me look bad.
Ther previous owner game me one garage door opener. He also told me the code which seemed a bit finicky the one time I tried it. I then tried to reset it to a code that I like. But that never worked. At some point, I also pushed the button on the garge inside where you reset the remote. I'm not sure why I did that but I think that clearly disabled the old frequency so now even if I put in the right #, it's not going to work.
The clip on the garage door opener didn't work - the thing to attach it to the visor - and I don't know there the garage door opener is. I think I musts have for some reason carried into the house or maybe it slid into a box. Can't find it.
I have purchased a new remote and keypad. I just need to get in.
You begin with “I’m alive,” and you are downvoted 0-3 so far…
I actually think that Rojo is one of the best posters on the board. He really does have that aspiration for the board that it be a community that can solve his problems of daily living (and other peoples).

Is there a part of this follow-up post that you think makes you look less bad?
An old credit card does work for many non-deadbolt door locks. When you get the corner of the card between the lock and the plate, the door opens. I used it many times on a shed door that had no key.

wtf is this post?
(1) "i'm alive" why wouldn't you be?
(2) "I left out a few pieces of info in the first post that made me look bad." this is very poorly written
(3) "Ther previous owner game me one garage door opener." multiple typos
(4) "He also told me the code which seemed a bit finicky the one time I tried it" i have no idea what this means
(5) "I then tried to reset it to a code that I like. But that never worked" what?
(6) "At some point, I also pushed the button on the garge inside where you reset the remote. I'm not sure why I did that but I think that clearly disabled the old frequency so now even if I put in the right #, it's not going to work" are you okay?
(7) "and I don't know there the garage door opener is" what?
(8) "I think I musts have for some reason carried into the house or maybe it slid into a box. Can't find it." more typos
(9) "I have purchased a new remote and keypad. I just need to get in." so the new remote and keypad will or will not help you get in?

I'm anticipating a new thread about how Rojo lost the contents of his wallet by slipping them in the door crack of the garage he can't get in to ...
Will this incident be cited as a reason he didn't run a sub-3:00 marathon? ("my shoes where in the garage and I think they got two hot cause after that my knees hurt")
