Worst case scenario for Zane would be that the Kenyan court would deport him from Kenya, at least temporarily. That is also unlikely I believe. I think Zane should lawyer up and pay whatever fine is appropriate and move on from there. He doesn’t need this extra stress at this time. The fact that he was an open book on those various podcasts that he engaged himself in during the past week tends to indicate that he didn’t really have any malevolent intentions to dope over a long period of time and that it was a one off.

Most countries in the world have temporary deportation orders like 5, 10, 15 or 20 years. If Zane is deemed by the court to have committed an offence and receives a conviction he would either face jail or prison time or (better scenario for Mzungu) be deported back to NZ.
Two other scenarios - "no compelling evidence of wrong doing" - free, or appeal a conviction and or deportation order. With the latter, the deeper your pockets, the better your chances. In developing countries money is everything.

He's done this before. A couple of years back he claimed one of the biggest names in Kenyan female marathoning had failed a test with an announcement impending. Years later, we're still waiting.
He was on this forum touting his supposed connections, claiming to know everyone who matters in Kenyan athletics while campaigning for a ban on all Kenyans because of an alleged state-sponsored system similar to Russia's.
My guess is he's bitter because he feels he's been denied a shot at coaching top-tier talent so he goes around throwing blanket accusations that every group is dirty, except his, of course. If Iten is as dirty as he says, why keep returning?

He is a coach/online coach and coaches all from elite's in Kenya,US, UK and Ireland (as well as those new to running and all standards in between). He spends much of his time in Iten every year and this has been the case over the last few decades.
Of US interest: he is the coach of Utah's Riley Cook who in December's California marathon qualified for the US marathon trials at age 41. Also coached Ireland's Aoife Cooke to the Tokyo Olympic marathon. One of the young guys he is coaching in Iten has recently ran 2:12 @ altitude and will debut in a European marathon this year.
His name is John Starrett. I think the OP put the link to his details. In the podcast he gives out his telephone number and all his details. Not sure that's a good idea. I don't think he fears anyone in Kenya, especially the Robertsons. He said they were posh and cardboard gangsters. He was laughing about a fight the twins had on YouTube and called Zane soft as zebra poo. Also it sounds like he's old about 50 something.
How should Robertson be criminally liable when so many Kenyans have incurred doping violations without criminal penalty? Is that because they didn't break the law by importing EPO; they found it easy enough to get at home?
